Woking College 8 students participated in the 2023 Advanced Level of the UKLO Linguistics Olympiad. Jude Talbot achieved a Gold Award, placing him in the top 5% in the country; Holly Robinson and Rachel Acharyya were awarded Bronze. Well done to all participants for these fantastic results. Congratulations to Sport student Keri Read who is refereeing at the Women’s under 16 International football match, England V Wales, at St Georges Park Bristol on Monday, 27th February. Keri, who plays football for Woking College , has been refereeing since she was 14 and will go on to study P.E at university with the ambition of becoming a full-time referee.

Are you thinking of studying Chemistry at Woking College? In the summer 2022 Leo Reddy, one of our Chemistry students, came in the top four out of 8668 students who competed in the finals of the International Chemistry Olympiad. Woking College Year 12 Physics A-level students using a diffraction grating to measure the wavelength of light from laser pens. This method is used in Astrophysics to determine the composition of stars by identifying the wavelengths of light they emit.
