Last week we had lots of water play in the sunshine ☀️, where the practitioners ended up very wet!💦

We had a great morning at Pre-School with our Father’s Day Come and Play. It was so lovely to see so many dad’s and grandads at the session. We hope you all enjoyed your time with us, the children had a fabulous time 😀

Over the last couple of weeks we have had lots of outdoor fun, with a visit to the climbing tree 😄

Last week we celebrated the Kings Coronation 👑 The children requested a castle 🏰, which they helped paint and construct. We also made crowns, explored Union Jack 🇬🇧 and had a tea party ☕️🫖🧁

This week we celebrated Mother’s Day, St Patrick’s Day and Red Nose Day. Thank you to all of you who came to our Mother’s Day Come and Play, it was so lovely to see so many of you at preschool. Wishing you all a Happy Mother’s Day💐

This week we enjoyed some fun in the snow ⛄️ It was also National Science Week where the children participated in some experiments 🧪

Last week was World Book Day. We loved seeing the children’s book character outfits and hearing about their favourite books!

This week there was National Love Your Pet Day, we loved learning about the children’s pets and favourite toy animals 🐱 🐶 🐰 Thank you for sending in your pet photographs, which the children have enthusiastically been looking at. The children enjoyed creating a pancake 🥞 with their favourite toppings 😀

This week has been Children’s Mental Health Week and we have been exploring our own and others feelings ❤️

Last week we explored the some of the children’s favourite stories, from acting out Were Going On A Bear Hunt in the garden and sequencing Goldilocks and The Three Bears, to creating gruffalo characters using the playdough and creating scrambled snake 🐍 and owl ice cream 🦉in the Gruffalo Cafe

This week at the request of the children we have a Superhero Headquarters, where the children have been enthusiastic about helping others using their super powers! We will also be celebrating Chinese New Year

Today was our second Come and Play Session this week. Thank you to all our families who came in and supported us this week. It was lovely to see so many of you 😊

Last week we were very busy writing our letters to Santa 🎅🏻 We are looking forward to seeing you all at our Come and Play sessions on Monday and Wednesday this week 😊

This week the children have been creating poppies to remember and say thank you to all the service men and women. They did a really good job of staying quiet for two minutes!

This week the children have engaged in small world play with the wild animals and created flowers 🌺

We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join the team at our Knaphill Setting. Candidates must be a minimum of Level 3 qualified in Early Years, and have extensive experience in working in a busy pre-school environment. This is a term time only role, hours of work are 8.15am to 3.45pm, Monday to Friday. We just wanted to say a massive thank you for all our wonderful gifts and cards, your kindness is very much appreciated. For those children who are leaving us, we are sorry that the term didn’t end as planned and we will arrange a time in September where you can come and say goodbye if you would like to. It has been a pleasure to have your children in Preschool and get to know you all, we will miss you all but would like to wish you lots of luck as you move on to the next adventure! As you will be aware, a red weather warning has been issued for the next few days. Can you please ensure that your child comes in wearing suncream and that they have a sun hat, preferably one that has a wide brim and that they have a water bottle, which we will refill during the day, loose clothing is also advisable. We will keep the room well ventilated, having the windows and doors open and we also have a couple of fans which we hope will keep the room cooler. Outdoor play will be restricted and it may not be possible to go outside at all.

Last week we had a mini sports day in the garden over several days! The children were fabulous 🏅 On Friday we managed to get a glimpse of the red arrows flying over Pre-school ✈️

Today we celebrated the queens platinum jubilee👸 Thank you to all our families for coming to celebrate with us, it was lovely to see so many of you. We hope you all have a wonderful half term ☀️
