Year 6 convinced their science teacher, Mrs Hutchings, to let them make soap, something they have always wanted to do. The science lab now smells of jasmine, green apple and cherry all at once!
Yesterday was Our youngest pupils were very happy to cook up a storm in their mud kitchen!
Year 6 made beautifully personalised periscopes, which are great tools for spying on others! Beware, as they will be taking them home today!
Year 6 have been busy working on their recycled birdhouses in Outdoor Learning. They have measured, used a saw and hammer and nails to complete this. It has taken a lot of resilience to get them completed!
What an amazing conclusion to our Sports Days! It was wonderful to see all our youngest pupils having fun and being cheered on by family and friends!
Year 3 had a fantastic time at Chertsey Museum exploring the Abbey ruins and learning about the Vikings!
Nursery harvested the new potatoes this morning that they planted before Easter. They were amazed at how many they had grown and the difference in all of the sizes. Chef Phil is going to cook them up as part of the school lunch tomorrow. The children cannot wait to see how they taste!
Year 1 have been working on position and direction in maths. The children were given instructions and enjoyed programming the Beebots. They also made their own maze to manoeuvre around.
It was a beautiful morning for a Year 4 trip to the sandpit at Horsell Common. The girls were applying their knowledge of OS maps and grid references to create their own map of the area.
In science this week, Year 4 have made electrifying electronic games. After designing the front, they skilfully wired the back, and after testing their own game, it was time for others to have a go!
