SJB cycles to Lourdes
As soon as term ends, six SJB staff are setting off on their bikes to the town of Lourdes in memory of our former colleague, Nick Windsor, who devoted many hours of his life to the Samaritans charity. If you would like to donate to this great cause, it would be greatly appreciated, and you can do so by following the link to our JustGiving page (link below).
We are holding a Samaritans raffle which will be drawn on 17 July. There are lots of amazing prizes to be won which have been generously donated by local and national businesses. Tickets are available on Scopay.
Thank you so much in advance for your generosity! https://www.justgiving.com/page/sjb-lourdes-1718015569905?utm_campaign=lc_frp_share_transaction_fundraiser_page_donation_received_-_nth_donation&utm_content=24aa9ef8-2e62-47b6-a075-20b77b5fef49&utm_medium=email&utm_source=postoffice&utm_term=1718543523150
Today, we celebrated Cultural Awareness Day at SJB. The day started with the school community gathering for a longer assembly. Our Head Boy, Seven Hill, spoke passionately about belonging, freedom, and awareness, along with other students from diverse backgrounds.
Many students wore the colours of their country or their original cultural dress. Lucasz and the catering team have done a brilliant job this week of providing traditional food from many different countries for all the students to try.
Congratulations all!
Happy SJB day! Don’t forget it’s m***i and money to spend on the stalls, games and bbq!
Year 8 had Humanutopia come in last Tuesday to complete an anti-bullying workshop. The year 8s had a great day of reflection looking at them in the past and how they have behaved and who they were, them currently and who they are, and then lastly looking at the future and who they want to become. The day was great, and provided a great opportunity for pupils to reflect on their SJB journey and beyond. We ended the day with some goal setting, please ask our fellow year 8s about their day and what their dreams were!
Hello all! We have been busy training ahead of the SJB charity cycle to Lourdes! All of the donations we receive will be going to the Samaritans Chairty, a charity who save hundreds of lives daily, by being a listening ear to those who are most vulnerable, and a charity that Nick Windsor committed much of his time to, offering his service to those most in need of it.
The goal we have set ourselves this year is £10,000! This is a huge amount of money, but remember this is a target... Not a limit 😉. Below is a link for the Just giving page that we are going to be using for this event.
Thank you all so much for your help and support in this endeavour, it really cannot happen without the support of this amazing community.

Congratulations to new student leaders; Seven, Pearl, Seb and Rebecca, who received their leadership stoles and a blessing this morning. Thank you to our outgoing leadership team; Daniel, Jade, Vincent and Francesca; may the Holy Spirit be with you all as you as you embark on the next chapter in your lives.
A huge well done to the Year 10&11 girls football team. They should hold their heads high after Tuesdays final and for coming 2nd in the District League. Playing against National Finalist is no mean feat and they put Fullbrook through their paces holding them to a 2-0 lead in the first half 💙💛
Year 10 Boys Football Team
Congratulations to the Year 10 boys for coming 2nd in the District League. A great fighting performance in the final against Woking High, narrowly missing out on penalties. They came back from 5-1 to 5-5 in 20 minutes to force penalties 💙💛
