⭐️From Student to Founder: The TutorCubed Story⭐️
I have known Yamna for almost a decade. I first met Yamna as a student when I was a tutor myself, working with one of the UK's leading tuition companies. Within a few short years, Yamna was my student going through her GCSE's, then a co-worker, and finally she became my manager (twice!).
Almost a year into becoming a tutor, Yamna became a regular student of mine, where we worked to improve her maths for the Edexcel GCSE. When tutoring her, it was so very clear to me that Yamna had a great mind for education and a real desire to improve and learn. When she was nearing the date of her exams, I recommended that after, when she gets her results, she apply to become a tutor as well. I remember telling her about the gratification that I got from the role, and the fun which I had.
Months later, Yamna was then my coworker. Yamna has such a desire and care for education that has been with her throughout my time knowing her. She truly excelled in the role, and really understood that learning goes beyond just the exams or the grades. Whilst I was at university years later, I was then surprised to come home at Christmas and find she had now become an assistant director with the centre we both worked for.
As a student taking her GCSE's, she would ask me about vectors, or quadratic simultaneous equations. As a co-worker, she would ask the best way to tutor, or the correct ways to communicate ideas. As a manager, she then applied all her desire and care for education to help support families and students, and she supported me and the rest of the tutor team to achieve those same goals. She cared, and still cares, deeply about every student and family she has ever worked with.
Yamna has now taken all of this and operates her own tutoring agency, TutorCubed. In a work of true serendipity, I now work for the student I used to teach and the coworker I worked alongside. I now teach GCSE Maths, Science and English, alongside A-level maths for TutorCubed. It is so, so very gratifying for me to see Yamna's growth from a student taking her GCSE's to what she does now. She still has the same care, if not more, than what she had when I first met her and dedicates her time to providing a truly great service in everything that she does.
TutorCubed isn’t simply tuition; it is built on years of dedication, genuine care, and a belief that every student deserves exceptional support.
This is only a brief reflection on my experience working alongside Yamna over the years, but I hope it gives some insight into the passion and care that sits behind everything TutorCubed does.
