More probability activities with my Year 8 group yesterday.
After our duck race starter last week, I asked the group how they might make the race fairer. A couple of options were discussed before they settled on giving some ducks head starts. 🦆
Then we showed that theoretical probably is exactly that, a theory, with some dice rolling. 🎲
Next, they turned into Mathemagicians! With ten cubes in the bag, I drew out a cube, we noted the colour and I replaced it twenty times. The students then had to use the results to predict how many of each colour cube was in the bag. 🪄
We played one more probablity game but this post is already long! More chat about whether it was a fair game or not.
So much fun to bring probability to life with games! 🎯
