https://ema.gives/fox-and-duck-hascombe-bat-walk Something a little different from Fox and Duck Tuition....James and I shall be leading this event in a couple of weeks. This is an evening for anyone interested in our local wildlife, whilst also being a good learning opportunity for students with an interest in ecology and conservation. I shall also be talking a little about my work as a bat carer and there will be lots of cute videos of the bats I've had in care!

During all the free time created by lockdowns over the past couple of years, the teacher became the student and I got a bit hooked on online courses. Here is just a selection of some of the courses I have completed...

- Understanding depression and low mood in young people (University of Reading)
- Understanding anxiety, depression and CBT (University of Reading)
- Mental resilence (Whittaker training)
It is amazing just how much you can learn online in a relatively short time. I am now almost half way through a fairly intensive Level 2 BACP Certificate in Counselling with the intention of eventually being qualified to offer both tuition and counselling to local young people.
