It’s been a little while since RJ Tutoring Services has posted but we are still providing and growing our on line tuition proposition and this year we have seen some truly exceptional GCSE results from amazing students LC and AE.

LC is a foster child from a difficult background who was referred to us two years ago and was really struggling with his combined science. He had mock results bordering on a 2. Two years later following sessions every week on a Thursday at 5pm his Mum rang me yesterday and explained with overwhelming delight that LC had achieved a 5.4.

AE was referred to me as she was struggling to get the grades in particular for GCSE business studies for sixth form entry. We put an intensive programme together for AE and we received this lovely e-mail from her Mum - M - yesterday.

Hi Richard,
I hope you are keeping well. A got great results and her business was 8. She has decided to go for Math, Economics and Politics for her A level.

I’m so made up for my student MP and what an amazing story.

M came to me as she wanted to make a difference and change her job to become a primary school teacher but she needed to revisit her science at a higher level to get onto her teacher training course.

After working with her online through the past few months she sent me this shiny certificate with the words

“Hi Richard, It’s M and I just wanted to thank you for everything! I’m honestly so shocked and happy with my results and couldn’t have done it without you, so thank you so much!”

If anyone parents have children struggling with their science (or their maths or geography or their business studies ! ) as we approach the exam season please get in touch and I will do all I can to assist !

Final tutoring session completed yesterday and the Christmas break has finally arrived so time to focus on friends and family.

It is been a epic year for RJ Tutoring Services with amazing efforts by all students across all subjects. Much gratitude to them and for their parents for everything.

We are now moving to more face to face tutoring although our online services remain very popular.

We have also extended our subject offering to include Business Studies and Geography at GCSE and Geography at A level.

The school year is over and what a year it has been - time for a break to relax !

Wow - final session delivered - and now a Christmas break - that’s over 200 hours of online catch up tutoring delivered across year 5 to year 12 since the beginning of September during the afternoons and evenings !!

Just such great efforts shown by such a great bunch of diverse young adults who turn up week in week out on Zoom to improve their skills. They are all making such great progress.

Fantastic news about my 11+ student Mateo who has only gone and gotten himself past the first stage of entry to either Eton or Wi******er ! He said he wants to be the next Einstein - such great ambition !

Finally the school year is over and what a year it has been - time for a break to relax and rest in warm sunshine for a couple of weeks with family and friends some of whom I haven’t seen for 30 years !

I have received terrific support from students, parents and agencies over the year and have received some fantastic feedback some of which follows.

My particular favourite is the first review below - I try to wear many hats but perhaps the one that students might see early on in their studies with me is that I try and understand what makes them tick, unpack anything that might hold them back, process those thoughts and emotions and then go forward !
