That’s a wrap on another lovely preschool year.
The children have spent their days learning, exploring, making friends, and keeping us smiling — it’s been a joy to watch them grow.
Thank you to all our families for your support throughout the year. We really do appreciate it.Wishing everyone a calm, happy summer.
To our leavers good luck in your new schools — you’ll do brilliantly.
To everyone returning we’re looking forward to seeing you in September for more fun and relaxed, happy days together.

Preschool Update – Monday
Children who watched the football can arrive at 11:30am if they can’t make normal drop‑off. We are not accepting arrivals throughout the morning.

Wix is forecast 34°C today. Preschool is open as usual and will close at 2:30pm.
If indoor temperatures rise to unsafe levels, we may close at 12:30pm with immediate notice — please ensure our number is saved for urgent messages.
Although no official heat warning has been issued, conditions inside early‑years settings can become unsafe far more quickly. With so many children in one space, temperatures climb rapidly and the risk of heat exhaustion and heat‑related illness increases significantly.
You are strongly encouraged to keep your child at home during this extreme heat, as it is much easier to keep them cool and safe at home than in a busy preschool environment.

Opening times for the rest of the week will be reviewed today. If you want it even more intense, tap push it further.

Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads, grandads and father‑figures.
We’re also thinking of those who are doing it on their own, those who are missing their dad, and anyone for whom today feels a little heavy.
Sending love and kindness to you all.

With the very high temperatures forecast for next week, we want to make families aware that we may need to adjust our hours or close for a day if the building becomes too hot to safely operate.
As many of you know, we are based in a porta cabin, which heats up quickly and is difficult to cool. Last week our indoor temperatures reached 26–27°C, even with ventilation and cooling measures in place. With next week’s forecast showing temperatures rising to 31°C, we are reviewing conditions day by day.
Under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, we must ensure that the environment remains safe and reasonable for children and staff.
Young children are particularly vulnerable to heat‑related illness, and if we cannot maintain safe indoor temperatures, we are required to take appropriate action.
We will confirm each day’s arrangements by 5pm the evening before, so families have time to plan ahead. Thank you for your understanding — keeping everyone safe in the heat is our priority.
If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.

We’ve reached the end of the first half of the summer term, and what a busy, joyful few weeks it’s been. The children have thrown themselves into everything — learning, exploring, getting muddy, getting messy, and making the most of both the rain and the sunshine. Their energy has been endless, and our new starters have settled in so well.

We return on Monday 1 June, and just a reminder that hot dinners will not be available on that day.

After the break, we begin our final half term with many of our little ones before they move on to reception. It’s always a special time, and we’ll be making sure their last weeks with us are filled with play, laughter, learning and lots of happy memories.

Wishing all our families a lovely half‑term break 💛
