What a fantastic way to celebrate 1 year of The Hub and Grub.
A full hall, loaded plates, a sweet trolley, and Dave&Tom to sing us out. Perfect 👌

What started as a little idea of somewhere to bring people together, to chat, to connect, to share a meal, and then enjoy some entertaining fun, has grown into a much loved part of everyone's week. New friendships have been made and it makes my heart glow.

Thank you to everyone who has come along, whether that be just occasionally or every week.

A very big thank you to all the volunteers that come along each week, muck in and encourage the conversations, make endless cups of tea and serve lunch with a smile

Thank you to Lauryn who started the cooking, and to Jilly who recently took over...variety and portion sizes get a big thumbs up from everyone 😋

The Hub and Grub is open to all, every Friday at Wiveliscombe Community Centre The doors open at 10.30am, with lunch served at 12pm

💙Wivey Cares Hub and Grub has been serving up lunches for a whole year, already💚

The fabulous Tom and Dave will be there to 'play us a tune' or two 🎶 after lunch

The doors open every week from 10.30am. Lunch is served at 12pm

All are welcome, young and old, and all for just £7.00 per person

Wivey Baby Hub started in March 2026 at the Silver Street Centre in Wiveliscombe. We offer a convenient space for parent/carer and baby get-togethers with a baby led vibe. Whilst older toddlers are welcome and have access to age appropriate toys, the space is intended as a safe space for babies.
Cushioned mats and baby gyms are provided with an abundance of stimulating toys. Allowing babies to lie on the mats under the stimulating baby gyms. All babies from 0-12 months are welcome. The setting allows parents to enjoy a snack and a cup of tea, whilst sitting having a chat with other parents and the Baby Hub facilitators.
Please feel free to come and join us on Friday mornings 10:45-12:45 (term time only), commencing Friday 4th September 2026

Then come and join Valeria and the Amblers, Wednesday morning for a very gentle walk. Usually followed by tea and cake

The Memory Activity Group meets every Tuesday 10.30-12.30pm and is a fabulous friendly safe space for anyone living with memory loss, along with their family member/carer.

Both parties benefit from the activities, the conversations, and definitely the tea and cake

Pop along, any Tuesday, to Wiveliscombe Community Centre

After a very successful launch session in August, Wivey Cares, with support from Parkinsons' UK, are delighted to be able to announce a new monthly café, for anyone living with or supporting someone with Parkinsons

Nynehead Village Hall has plenty of parking and has fully accessible facilities

Come along on the 3rd Thursday afternoon of each month 2.15-3.45pm

The Hub and Grub this Friday has a local celeb coming to call the bingo this week

Doors open at 10.30am, refreshments and friendly faces await you. Why not book and stay for lunch, served at 12pm (booking is essential to cover catering and dietary needs) Or just come for lunch....£7 for 2 delicious homecooked courses, followed by Bingo...if you want to. Noone will mind if you want to eat and run....😋
