A public consultation event is being held at the school on Tuesday 13 October from 4pm until 6pm to show residents the proposals and answer any questions they may have.

Our Year 6 pupils had a fantastic morning at the SOKE Basketball Event held at AMVC last week.

The event provided a wonderful opportunity for children to meet and work alongside pupils from other schools, building confidence, teamwork and new friendships. Throughout the morning, they developed their basketball skills through a range of coaching activities before putting their learning into practice in a series of fun and friendly competitions.

We were incredibly proud of the enthusiasm, sportsmanship and teamwork shown by all of our pupils. Well done, Year 6!

Our children have been thoroughly enjoying their PE sessions with our new coaches from Just Do Sports!

So far, they have taken part in both football and athletics, embracing every activity with enthusiasm, determination and plenty of energy. It has been wonderful to see the children developing their sporting skills, building confidence and encouraging one another throughout each session.

These exciting lessons not only promote physical fitness and healthy lifestyles but also help to develop important teamwork, communication and resilience skills. We look forward to seeing what they will achieve next!

In Year 3, the children have been delving into the fascinating world of geology!

They have explored the three different types of rocks: sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic. The children discovered how each type is formed and learned about their unique characteristics, becoming true budding geologists along the way.

Through their investigations and discussions, they developed a deeper understanding of the incredible processes that have shaped our planet over millions of years. What an exciting journey into Earth science!

Our Year 5 children have been busy working collaboratively in their DT lessons to design and build their very own bridges!

As part of the project, the children have been learning about the different parts of a bridge, including decks, parapets, abutments, arches, and pillars. They have shown fantastic teamwork, problem-solving skills, and creativity throughout the process.

We are so impressed with their hard work and dedication, and their bridges are coming along brilliantly! We can't wait to see the finished masterpieces.

Well done, Year 5! Keep up the amazing work! đź’™

Last week, our Year 1 children have been exploring the wonders of the planets, making learning a truly out-of-this-world experience!

During their Phonics sessions, the children extended their learning through exciting planet-themed activities, where they enjoyed sorting different planets and developing their knowledge of our solar system. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm and engagement in their learning!

Meanwhile, in the Rainbow Room, creativity was shining brightly as some of the children made and decorated their own planets. Their imagination and artistic skills were on full display, resulting in some fantastic creations!

Well done, Year 1, for another week of curiosity, creativity, and cosmic adventures!
