🌿 A Wonderful Day of Outdoor Learning for Key Stage 2 🌿

Key Stage 2 enjoyed a fantastic day of adventure, creativity, and exploration at our Forest School site.
The children immersed themselves in the natural environment, discovering new areas, developing skills, and enjoying the freedom of outdoor learning.
Throughout the day, pupils explored the woodland, visited the bird hide, and took time to observe the wildlife around them.
They enjoyed getting creative by making imaginative clay faces, creating patterns in wood by drilling holes and threading designs, and using natural materials to make their own unique artwork.

Teamwork and problem-solving skills were put to the test as the children worked together to design and build dens, while others enjoyed moments of calm and relaxation in the hammocks, taking in the peaceful surroundings.

There were plenty of opportunities to connect with nature too, including saying hello to our friendly ducks and chickens.
The day was rounded off perfectly with a cosy campfire where everyone enjoyed making delicious s’mores and sharing stories and songs together.

It was a brilliant day full of curiosity, creativity, confidence-building, and memorable experiences in the outdoors. 🌳🔥

🍎✨ What an amazing trip for our Apple Tree Class! ✨🍎

Our Nursery and Reception children had a fantastic visit to Science Oxford! We had the best time exploring, discovering, and learning.

A huge thank you to the amazing staff who made the day so special.
The theatre talk was brilliant, and the exploration room and water area were truly out of this world! 🌎💧

The children had so much fun getting hands-on with science and creating wonderful memories together. 🔬🌟

What a wonderful experience our Year 3 and Year 4 children had at Checkendon Equestrian!

The children enjoyed a magical day out, learning how to ride horses and care for them. From grooming and handling the horses to gaining confidence in the saddle, it was a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills, responsibility, and a love for animals.

A memorable day filled with smiles, learning, and plenty of equestrian fun! 🐴✨
