Join us for one of the most spectacular evenings in the Cokethorpe calendar.

Our annual Fireworks Extravaganza, organised by our wonderful CPFA, returns on Friday 6 November. Featuring thrilling fairground rides, delicious food, warming drinks and sweet treats, the evening culminates in a spectacular fireworks display choreographed to music, set against the backdrop of our toasty bonfire.

Knowing what to do in an emergency can make all the difference.

In support of Restart a Heart Day, an initiative led by the Resuscitation Council UK, pupils in Second and Fourth Form have been learning the essential skills of CPR through practical training sessions delivered by members of the South Central Ambulance Service.

CPR is a simple skill to learn, but one that has the potential to save a life. By taking part, our pupils are gaining confidence and an understanding of how to respond if someone ever needs urgent help.

A huge thank you to the team from South Central Ambulance Service for sharing their expertise and helping equip the next generation with such an invaluable life skill.

Our latest Maths Pupils of the Fortnight have impressed their teachers with their focus, engagement, effort and enthusiasm in lessons. It is fantastic to see pupils approaching their learning with such a positive attitude and embracing the challenges that Maths brings.

Chaos was served. And so was plenty of laughter.

One week on, and the raucous laughter from Faulty Towers is still echoing around the Dining Hall!

Last Friday, Basil, Sybil and Manuel took over Cokethorpe for an unforgettable evening of comedy, chaos and a delicious three-course dinner. With two hours of immersive entertainment, there were plenty of laughs, a few disasters and, thankfully, no complaints about the service… we think! 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and, of course, to the CPFA for bringing this wonderfully chaotic evening to Cokethorpe.

The Cokethorpe Community Council is back for a new school year!

Yesterday, Fifth and Sixth Form students came together to discuss a range of topics around school life, including ideas for the new Wellbeing Centre, opening soon.

Following a tour of the newly refurbished facilities with Dr Squire, students shared thoughtful ideas and explored options to help shape this exciting new space.

Next week, it is the turn of First to Fourth Form to have their say, ensuring student voices across the School are heard. 👏

🔥🚒 Year 2 had a fantastic visit to Witney Fire Station as part of our learning about the Great Fire of London!

The children discovered how firefighting has changed since 1666, comparing modern fire engines, equipment and safety gear with the methods used to tackle fires over 350 years ago. They asked thoughtful questions and were fascinated to learn how much firefighting technology has advanced.

A real highlight was climbing aboard the fire engine, but the absolute favourite moment had to be seeing the flashing blue lights and hearing the sirens in action! A huge thank you to the team at Witney Fire Station for such an engaging and memorable experience that brought our Great Fire of London topic to life.

🍕Learning a language never tasted so good!

Our Italian for Beginners Prep Activities took language learning into the kitchen last week, as pupils explored traditional Italian cooking and learned the Italian names for some classic pizza ingredients.

Then came the best part… creating their own delicious pizzas! 👩‍🍳🍕

After a night of anticipation, the pizzas were enjoyed for lunch the following day — a tasty way to put their new vocabulary into practice!
