Bruno found today’s sewing class all a bit much! Nicola was busy altering her latest charity shop finds and he just wanted to lay on the floor 😂

Today was my first sewing class in Kidlington, I helped Anna upcycle a basic men’s shirt into something much more fun! She learned how to attach bias binding to add something different to the hem. And there were lots of little birds made from charity shop scraps ready to be stuffed with lavender.

I have run my dressmaking business for 25+ years, things have had to change recently due to 2 accidents…what started as a dressmaking business has morphed into a teaching business, if I can no longer do the sewing I need to pass the skills on!
I can still sew but it hurts, so now I just do a little bit for me when I need to.

It’s sewing lesson time for the husband! The zip on his rucksack broke and he needs it for work tomorrow, so he had to learn fast 😊
(He wouldn’t let me post the video where he pricked his finger on a pin and swore 😂)

Last sewing class of the week, before I have a much needed week off! Today was hemming trousers, altering tops and making an evening dress.
