Witnesham Pre-School is a small committee run preschool the heart of the Suffolk countryside. The Pre-School is a charity and opened in 1974 which is situated in the grounds of Witnesham Primary School. We take children from 0-5 years and now have a separate under 2's area and sleeping room. Our aim is to create a warm, caring, homely and stimulating environment for children to learn through play. The children have access to a welcoming indoor space with a range of toys and equipment to enhance their learning. We also have a beautiful outdoor space where the children can enjoy a range of outdoor activities such as playing in the mud kitchen, using the ride on toys and exploring the climbing equipment. We also have vegetable patches which the children love to help plant, harvest and eat what we produce. The pre-school is open each weekday during term time, from 8.00am to 3.00pm.
We do lots of fun and exciting activities such as going on nature walks, visiting the library bus, seasonal trips to farms and museums. We are working closely with Witnesham Primary school and we join in as many activities as we can with them such as Gardening on a Monday afternoon, story time in the library and joining in with outdoor learning lessons. We also take the children to move up days and assemblies for the ones who are starting school in September.
