FITC Academy x Sunderland Academy

SUPER PROUD of our Academy U7/8s this weekend who travelled away to Sunderland and put in some excellent performances.

Every single player performed and competed to the highest level.

Playing at Sunderland first team training ground is an experience the boys will never forget and they all looked perfectly at home with both the facilities and the standard.

They got to tour the first team facilities, go in exclusive areas and ask questions to coaches who played roles is producing players such as Jordan Henderson and Jordan Pickford.

They were absolutely the buzzing the whole way round

Thank you to Sunderland AFC once again for your superb hospitality and how you treat the boys and make them feel so welcome.

Best of luck with both the Premier League and European campaigns this season and we look forward to seeing you soon.

1:1 PLAYER/GK DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS‼️

We have some VERY RARE availability this summer for some more 1:1 sessions for players and goalkeepers of all ages and abilities.

As many of you know from previous conversations, our 1:1s are usually booked a year in advance and available slots are very hard to come by.

However, this summer, we are delighted to announce that we have opened a couple of 3.30pm slots every weekday through the school holidays.

Once the slots are booked, we will call you and discuss what type of session you would like and we will then design the session around each individual player.

If you are not sure what you want to work on, we will run the session, covering everything and see where the players strengths and weaknesses are.

ANOTHER ONE GOES PRO‼️

One of FITC Academy’s proudest moments so far for sure.

Jett Murphy signs a professional contract with West Ham United.

This is something we have known for a while, yet we are still as excited about it today as when we first heard.

We found Jett playing in a 5v5 tournament when he was U8 and we instantly knew he had the ability to go a long way.

We signed him instantly and he then stayed at the academy until he was U12, when he decided to go to Colchester United, who had wanted him for a long time .

For reasons that none of us could understand, he got let go midway through the u16 season at Colchester United and came back to us at FITC Academy.

He then spent the season with us and went on to play in our u18s and we knew it would not be long before he is back at a pro club.

This paired with what he was doing at Chelmsford City, got him into the first team and he hasn’t looked back since.

In less than a season he has gone from national league to championship, and in what I believe most people would agree is a premier league club.

This is something we knew was always on the cards for Jett and we are so proud to see him realising his dream.

We know you will do well and we can’t wait to watch your journey continue.

A massive well done to our U14s Girls Academy Goalkeeper Harriet for winning the Junior Premier Leagues “Save of the Season” award.

An unbelievable goalkeeper and fully deserved.
