Argentina stayed lovely and cool in the classroom today. All lights were off, windows were open and water bottles were out and filled throughout the day. No children at any time are ever in direct sunlight because they are moved to stay cool. This afternoon we used trays of water to put our feet into to support regulating body temperature. The children were amazingly behaved and it did just the trick! Just a reminder to keep bringing in hats and water bottles with the sunshine ☀️🕶️

To help children remain comfortable during the warmer weather, pupils are able to come to school in their PE kit every day from Monday 22nd June to Friday 26th June even if it is not their PE day.
Please note this is not ‘non uniform’. Please ensure children wear plain black PE shorts (no logos) rather than jogging bottoms and a plain white T-shirt.
Please also send your child to school with a sun hat. ☀️
Thank you for your co-operation

They added different amounts of soil to create varying levels of pollution, linking their investigation to their learning about the River Thames and how pollution affects rivers and wildlife.🌍🔬💧

Zoo Day!
Year 3 recently enjoyed a school trip to Colchester Zoo! They explored a workshop learning about plants and animals, as well as seeing lots of animals throughout the day! A great day was had by all, with lots of fantastic hands on learning opportunities.

Music Day is underway 🎵 🎶
The Spring Festival (or Chinese New Year) originates from the legend of Nian, a terrifying, sharp-toothed monster that preyed on villagers every New Year's Eve. People discovered this beast was terrified of three things: the colour red, loud noises, and bright lights, leading to the famous traditions of lighting firecrackers, wearing red, and hanging red decorations 🐉 🧨 🏮
