To finish our Living Things and Habitats topic, 4 Egypt created brilliant dioramas showing either the effects of deforestation or a natural disaster. ๐๐ฟ
Mrs G had the tricky job of judging them and chose the before-and-after volcanic eruption diorama as the winner. ๐๐
Well done to the winning team, and to everyone for their fantastic creativity, teamwork and collaboration. A special shout-out to Aria for her incredibly detailed model birds! ๐ฆโจ

Thailand class are tracking down angles!
Today, they are learning how to use protractors to measure angles, and things are getting pretty acute in there!
Don't worry, they won't get obtuse about it.
They are making sure their maths skills are right on 90!
Protractors can be tricky at first. But don't lose your degree of coolnessโpractice makes perfect!๐คฉ
Parents: Ask your mathematician if they can find a right angle somewhere in the house!

Kenya class have been learning and developing their sewing skills. They learnt how to cross stitch. Then they built on these skills to learn the blanket stitch. They used this to make these wonderful little finger puppets. Some of the children even managed to put on a show.
Well done Kenya class.๐

Parents and carers โ we need your help this summer.
During the school holidays, we often see an increase in deliberate fires started by children and young people. These fires can spread quickly, putting lives, wildlife and property at risk.
If you've noticed your child has developed a fascination with fire, is carrying matches or lighters, comes home smelling of smoke, or you're worried about their behaviour around fire, support is available.
Our Fire Safety Intervention Scheme is a free programme for young people. It provides education and guidance to help prevent fire-setting behaviour before it becomes a bigger problem.
Find out more about the Fire Safety Intervention Scheme and how to access support see link in comments.
Year 6 children may wear their leavers hoodies from tomorrow if they wish! They should wear their PE kits as it will be hot. Please ask the children to be sensible and remove the hoodie if they get hot! ๐ฅต
