⚽️ World Cup Celebrations! ⚽️
The children in the Stingray room have been learning about the football world cup! They have been making and decorating their very own colourful football tops to celebrate the start of the world cup!

🐝 Learning about Bumble Bee’s! 🐝
The adults in the Dolphin room have worked together to carefully plan and prepare beautiful learning experiences for the children surrounding a fun bee theme. The children joined in with observational bee drawings, working together to make a junk model bee hive, painting their own bumble bees and exploring a bee themed nature tray. All of the children loved joining in with the wide range of activities provided.

🐛 Saving the Bugs! 🐛
On a warm day the children in the Sea Turtle room had a mission to try and save the coloured frozen bugs and sort them between the coloured cups. The children took it in turns to try different techniques to melt the ice and save the bugs!

🐝 Going on a Bee Hunt! 🐝
The children in the Pelican room have been observing the number of bees in our nursery garden following on from one of our children having bee hives in their garden at home. Today the children went on a bee hunt searching in the flowers to see how many bees they could find, they even found one on the slide! We continued this learning experience inside by creating our own bee and honey comb paintings.

⭐️ Nursery cleaner ⭐️

Pelican Place Day Nursery is looking for a reliable and hard-working Cleaner to help keep our nursery clean, safe, and welcoming. This role is essential in supporting a healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors.

Location: Witham, Essex.
Hours: 10 hours per week
Working times: Monday to Friday, 6pm – 8pm
Pay: £12.94 per hour (dependent on age and experience)

☔️ Designing Our Own Umbrellas! ☔️
After a rainy day the children in the Seaturtle room designed their own umbrellas using a wide range of resources such as coloured poster paint, dabber pens, collage resources, glue sticks, sequins, crayons, pencils and stickers. Each piece of art work was beautifully unique!

Created in partnership with early years nutrition specialists Tiny Tums, our new menu supports how children grow, learn and thrive - every single day.

🧊 Ice Painting! 🧊
The children in the Seaturtle room took their small world animals ice skating! The frozen paint made wonderful coloured trails as the children moved the frozen animals around the giant paper. The children loved the sensory experience of the mixture of ice and paint and the opportunity to get messy in play.
