Sunflower Childcare

Today we visited Witham library for some rhyme time, stories and fun. We had a great time joining in with all the actions and rhymes, listening to the stories and picking our own. Extending vocabulary ranges, building repeated refrains and loving a language rich environment. We enjoyed some mark making and play with the soft bricks before heading home for lunch

PE session for the school leavers. Getting changed independently into their "PE KITS" and independently getting themselves dressed again. Skills setting them up to start school in September. Boosting confidence, independence and physical development skills. They enjoyed a yoga session with cosmic kids before the little ones joined in from their nap. Namaste 🙏🕉️🧘‍♀️

We had lots of fun at silver tots playgroup exploring the ocean sensory trays, printing and painting with celery, climbing on the soft play equipment, racing round in the cars and enjoying the toys and slides

Just a normal evening on the sofa with the hubby right??....

We took a trip to sealife adventure. The sunflowers loves seeing all the fish and different sea creatures! We sang twinkle twinkle little star to the star fish, counted the legs of the sunfish, said hello to Nemo and Dory and had a great time playing with the penguins

We always love Colchester zoo. We went to visit the giant snails and insects but their enclosures and habitats were being cleaned and some relocated. So instead we wondered round saying hello to some of our favourites 😍

.co we had a break from the paddling pool to mix up a storm at this creation station! Enjoy the sensory experience of scent and sound. Watching the foaming, fizzing, swirling of colours and popping sounds. Using pippets, tubes, bowls, sticks and tiny spoons to mix, swirl, measure and stir. Enjoying the curiosity it invoked whilst tapping into science

Fun at brightlingsea beach. Combing the sand for shells, stones and seaweed and discovering, jellyfish, crabs and crab legs and razor clams. Building sandcastles and knocking them back down again. Throwing stones into the water to make the biggest splash. Paddling our toes and enjoying listening to the sound of the sea
