SDA Ladies Tour 07 - Report ๐จ
Yesterday, 22nd August, saw the 7th Ladies Tour event of the season take place, this time at the CISWO, Glenrothes. ๐ช
The event saw 14 ladies take part, 3,714 darts thrown, several low legs, and plenty of twists and turns throughout! ๐คฉ
Sophie McKinlay picked up the title on the day - letโs take a look at how Sophie reached the title! ๐
4-3 vs Susanna McGimpsey (62.83) - QF โ
4-2 vs Chelsea McMahon (63.76) - SF โ
Sophie received a bye in the 1st round (Last 16) before coming through two very tough matches. The first saw Sophie pushed all the way by Susanna McGimpsey, before another tough match in the semi-final against Chelsea McMahon. ๐
Meeting Sophie in the final was somebody whoโs no stranger to a big occasion either - Lorraine Hyde, and both ladies certainly produced! ๐ช
The FINAL ๐
Lorraine took the first leg in 18 darts.
Sophie then fired back, winning the next two legs to gain a slight advantage!
Lorraine then went on to win the next two legs, continuing this topsy-turvy encounter and taking a 3-2 lead.
Sophie wasnโt keen on any more drama or the possibility of a last-leg decider, as she won the next 3 legs, two of which were 17-darters, to secure the title with a 5-3 win. ๐
Congratulations to Sophie McKinlay on a fantastic and fully deserved win on the day, as she continues to impress! ๐ช ๐
Commiserations to Lorraine Hyde, who didnโt quite manage to secure the title this time but had another fantastic event, winning 3 matches! ๐
