Before the machine moves, the checks need to be done. 🏗️
Daily checks can identify defects before they become a bigger problem or put the operator and others on site at risk.
Before operating plant, check:
✅ Tyres, tracks and wheels for damage or excessive wear
✅ Fluid levels and signs of leaks
✅ Brakes, steering and controls
✅ Lights, warning devices and mirrors
✅ Safety devices and guards
✅ Attachments are secure and in good condition
If a defect could affect safe operation, report it and don't use the machine until it has been dealt with.
A few minutes spent checking plant before work starts can prevent equipment damage, downtime and, most importantly, an incident on site.
