🌿✨ Welcome back, everyone! ✨🌿

We can’t wait to welcome all of our children back to nursery tomorrow! 💚 We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer and are ready for another exciting year!

We have been busy getting the environment ready for the children’s return, with lots of new provocations and enticing experiences waiting for them to discover. 👀✨

When Orchard children return in a couple of weeks there will be areas set up to encourage them to recall their Summer experience. Im sure many of you will have visited the local beaches or have been on holiday. If you have any photos please add them onto OPAL so we can display them in the room x

Good evening,
Just a reminder that the Nursery fully closes tomorrow to all children.
We will be ready to welcome everyone back on the 03rd September.

Good morning,
Heat, heat and more heat! It would seem we are hopefully nearing the end of the heatwave but before we reach that today is set to be another hot day. Although the temperatures are a couple of degrees down on yesterday the humidity has increased which inevitably makes things more uncomfortable.

The rooms temperatures are already very high following consistent hot weather so the indoor zones are not offering us the cool we would like, and we are having to limit outdoor activity meaning more time spent inside.

Alongside this sadly we have had a couple more cases of sickness since we last posted both in staff and children.
If you plan to keep your child home please let us know alternatively early collections are an option if you wish to do this.
We are open all day, we are just trying to make the environment as comfortable as possible for staff and children.
We appreciate your cooperation 😊

The Met office have now issued an Amber weather warning for our region on Thursday we are expecting it to be as predicted a very hot day!
If you choose to keep your child/children home or wish to collect early please do let us know.
As mentioned before we will be doing our best to keep everyone comfortable but in such extremes there are inevitable challenges.

Good afternoon,
Just to be mindful we do still seem to have the sickness bug circulating we have had a few more cases over the weekend.
We are doing everything we can to support infection control and slow the spread through extra hand washing and sanitizing and washing all laundry at higher temperatures.
Just as a reminder sickness is a 48 hour incubation from the last bout of illness.
Please do let us know if you are affected so we can keep a note!

Good afternoon,

Happy Sunday all.
We are expecting the new week that is fast approaching to be another hot one. The humidity levels are predicted to be high which makes everything a little more challenging particularly trying to keep the children comfortable. We will of course be doing our best to manage the heat as we have up to now.
Please bring along empty water bottles which we can fill, this does help to encourage the children to drink more.
We ask that they have several sets of spare clothes which are loose fitting and lightweight incase they need a change.
We will be encouraging calmer activities and will limit garden access.

If you have plans to keep children at home or wish to collect early, please do let us know via phone or a message to your child’s key person via journals.
