Wirksworth Church of England Infant School Inspiring Learning for All Wirksworth Church of England Infant School and Wirksworth Infant School became a Federation in 2004. You are welcome to visit us.

This means that our two small schools have the same joint governing body and the same head teacher and are able to share resources and expertise in a safe and inspiring learning environment. Staff within the Federation have many years of experience and we are an incredibly stable and caring team. We are really lucky that children are taught in small straight year group classes meaning that the curriculum can be personalised and focused on specific learning needs. Every child has access to an extensive and engaging curriculum and we make lots of use of our vibrant community areas and local outdoor spaces which provide abundant resources for learning and teaching experiences. Christian values and the enriching environment of our schools nurture children's academic, social and spiritual development. A close partnership is encouraged between parents/carers, governors and the local community to ensure everyone feels valued and cared for.

We had a lovely school treasure hunt walk today on a quest to find ‘Pebbles the space rock’ who had fallen down and landed at the Stardisc with some little gifts and treasures for the children. If you happen to go on a walk to the Stardisc through Stoney Wood you may just see Pebbles hiding in the trees🌳 🌟

What a lovely morning we had today celebrating Easter. The children made some yummy Easter cakes which were eaten up very quickly! They also made a beautiful card with pressed flowers, tasted hot cross buns, sang Easter songs and Sue Todd helped the children learn about Easter week 🐣 🪺
