What a great first day back at school!

It has been wonderful to welcome the children back today, hear all about their summer adventures and see them catching up with friends again.

The children have settled back into school life brilliantly and have enjoyed getting to know their new classrooms, routines and the exciting learning ahead. It’s been a really positive start, and we’re looking forward to all that the new school year will bring.

Over the summer, our Estates Team and Miss Williams have been busy transforming our Early Years setting into a vibrant space designed to spark curiosity, creativity and engagement.

Inspired by a range of Early Years approaches, every part of the new environment has been thoughtfully designed to support the development of the whole child through exploration, discovery and play.

We can’t wait to welcome our youngest learners into their fantastic new space!

If M&S did classrooms… this might just, be it!

What an incredible end of term celebration!

A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers who make up the Friends of Winterton Primary School for organising such a fantastic end of term party for our children today.

With three bouncy castles, delicious candy floss, and plenty of music, it was the perfect way to celebrate a fantastic year together. The smiles, laughter and excitement on the children’s faces said it all!

We are so very grateful to the parents who volunteered their time to create such special memories for our pupils. Your hard work and generosity are truly appreciated.

Today we said a sad goodbye and a big thank you to the wonderful Miss Howe who has been the Seal Class teacher for the last year. She has been a huge asset to our school and her calm, kind and supportive nature will be greatly missed. We wish her all the best in her new job at Reedham Primary School - luckily she is still working in our Trust so we hope to be able to keep in touch with her. Thank you Miss Howe! 💙

🌟👩‍🏫 Year 6 Take Over the Classroom! 👨‍🏫🌟

This week, we begin to bid a fond farewell to our wonderful Year 6 pupils.

At their own request, some of our oldest Sharks—who have spent the last four years in Miss Bane's class—planned, resourced and delivered a lesson to their classmates this morning.

It was fantastic to see the hard work they had put into preparing their lesson. They demonstrated maturity, confidence and excellent communication skills as they stepped into the role of teacher, supporting their classmates with the activities. Their teacher mannerisms were so convincing that they had everyone smiling!

We are incredibly proud of the young people they have become. They have grown into confident, caring and capable individuals, and today's lesson showed just how ready they are for the next stage of their education.

Good luck, Year 6—you are certainly ready to soar! 💙🦈✨

🏅🌞 Thank You for Supporting Our Sports Day! 🌞🏅

A huge thank you to all the parents, carers and family members who came along to support our Sports Day on Monday. It was wonderful to see so many people cheering on the children and creating such a fantastic atmosphere.

We are incredibly proud of all of our pupils. They demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the afternoon. Every child gave their best, and it was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another.

Congratulations to all of our house teams, and a special well done to our joint winners – Green House and Yellow House! 🏆💚💛

The Sports Day Cup was presented to the winning houses during Thursday's celebration assembly.

Thank you once again for helping to make Sports Day such a memorable event. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! 👏🎉

A big thank you to all the parents and friends who joined us for our Leavers Assembly today — it was a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the school year! Thank you to Rev Debs, Roy and Sandra for bringing gifts in for the Year 6 pupils from the church. Thank you to the Friends of Winterton Primary School & Nursery who gave the Year 6's leavers hoodies.
🎉 Congratulations to all the children who achieved over 98% and over 96% attendance this year, as well as those who have improved their attendance — a fantastic effort! Miss Williams proudly presented certificates to these children during the assembly.

🎨👜 A Work of Art You Can Carry! 👜🎨

And here they are... the Sharks' finished tote bags! 🌟

Inspired by the work of famous abstract artists, the children designed and created these fantastic tote bags using textile resist techniques. Throughout the project, they explored colour, pattern and composition before bringing their own unique ideas to life.

We think you'll agree that these bags look absolutely amazing—if they hit the shops, we're sure they'd fly off the shelves! 🤩

A huge well done to all of the Sharks for their creativity, imagination and hard work. We are so proud of the wonderful pieces you have produced! 👏🦈✨

🦈🌳 Sharks' Residential – Day 3 at BeWILDerwood! 🌿✨

The final day of the Sharks' residential was spent enjoying an exciting adventure at BeWILDerwood.

With the warm weather, the children made the most of the shady woodland setting, climbing, sliding, scrambling and exploring every single play area! Their energy and enthusiasm were incredible, and they certainly made the most of every minute.

One of the highlights of the day was spotting a beautiful kingfisher during the boat trip – a magical moment that many of the children will remember for years to come. 💙🐦

By 4pm, however, the excitement had finally caught up with them! Several children had run out of steam and were fast asleep on the coach journey home after such a busy and action-packed week. 😴🚌

We are incredibly proud of every Shark. Throughout the residential they showed enthusiasm, resilience, kindness and excellent teamwork, and their behaviour was outstanding from beginning to end.

A huge thank you to all of the staff and volunteers who gave up their time to make this residential such a memorable experience. It has been a brilliant week full of adventure, laughter and memories that will last a lifetime! 💙🦈🌟
