Damson class have had a busy last week of term, looking at their seeds and planting bulbs for science. We have also played the Glockenspiel in music playing the friendship song which links to our school Christian value. We have also worked hard on our handwriting.

This week Damson class have started their new science topic - Plants. We have looked at soaked bean seeds, peeled off the seed coat and explored the food store and plant embryo. We have also set up our own bean seed growing station so that we can watch them grow roots, shoots and leaves. The children are so excited! In Art we have created some 3D maps inspired by Chris Kenny. We have used torn pieces of maps to create our own 3D map. They look incredible! Well done Damson Class!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING NEW STARTERS FOR SEPTEMBER 2026

We are delighted to have your child starting in reception with us on
Wednesday 2nd September 2026 and look forward to welcoming you and your child into our school family as they start their exciting school journey with us.

On Thursday 18th June at 4.30pm there will be a parent’s meeting. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your child’s teacher, and find out a little bit more about what to expect as your child starts school in September.

In June your child will be invited to attend 2 stay and play sessions, these will support them in beginning to build those important relationships with the staff in school. You will receive an email before the end of May with the dates and times that your child is to attend.
