My nephew had an incident today at the school ,I just want to say massive thank you to the staff who helped and went above and beyond for him especially the first aiders ,also every pupil in the school needs to praised as they where all well behaved and followed all instructions in a respectful manor ,while part of the school was closed off due to the incident . Massive thank you to everyone at the academy x
Mrs Harris, Head of Year 8, has orchestrated a house competition/fundraiser with a difference and staff and students are loving it! They are being asked to donate their spare change with coppers counting as positive points and anything higher counting as negative points. This is where sabotage comes in. We are putting all coppers in to our own house's token boxes and anything higher in to the other house's token boxes. We are doing all of this for WIRES - Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service, the largest wildlife rescue & rehabilitation charity in Australia that provides rescue and rehabilitation for all native Australian fauna. #wires

Sausage Roll

Hello Winsford Academy pupils. Over the next few weeks of lockdown, we are going to be setting you some challenges and tasks. There will be lots of different types and it would be great to see you try as many as possible.

In 3 weeks time it will be the 75th anniversary of VE day. We would like to all celebrate together by having a picnic at 1pm in our own gardens to celebrate this momentous day.

This challenge is to make sausage rolls for your picnic. Watch the video and cook along with us. Please post your pictures - every picture posted will go into a prize draw for a reward which we will post out. The competition is open to all current pupils from Y7 - 11 and also to any Y6 pupils who are joining us in September. Closing date for this competition is Saturday 25th April at 6pm. Happy Cooking.

[04/17/20]   When this is all over, and it will be, there will be a new question that forms part of the interview when you are applying for college, apprenticeships, university and jobs. The question will be 'What did you do during lockdown?' Think about the answer if you were asked the question today and think about what you could do to enable you to give a great answer.

Have you learned a new skill, have you made a difference to someones life, or have you spent the whole time glued to a screen 😱. Maybe you could learn sign language, you might learn how to animate or code, maybe you might volunteer to help in some way. There are also lots of online courses you could complete that are currently free of charge.

Let us know of any good ideas in the comments and do something different to make yourself stand above everyone else. Be the successful candidate when you go for interview and make us proud 🤩
