Over the past few weeks the children have been introduced to the story 📖📚 'Pass the jam Jim' by Kaye Umansky and Margaret Chamberlain.
It's about a group children getting ready for a party and little Jim making a mess with the jam before the children are able use it.
The story supports children’s learning by introducing them to rhymes such as ‘cut the cake Kate, slice of pie Guy’. It has also been encouraging the children to join in with the story, by say the phrase “Pass the jam Jim, jam Jim jam” which repeats throughout the book.
So this morning we have made our own pretend cakes 🎂…and mess!
