What a wonderful Nursery Graduation celebration we had! 🎓💛

Our children had the most amazing time celebrating all they have achieved, with a very special surprise visit from Buzz Lightyear 🚀⭐ and a delicious treat from the ice cream truck 🍦. There were so many smiles, laughter, and special memories made.

It has been such a privilege to watch each and every one of our children grow, learn, and flourish during their time with us. We are so proud of everything they have accomplished and wish all of our graduates the very best as they begin their exciting new adventure at big school. We know you’ll all do amazing things! 🌟

We hope all of our families have a fantastic summer break. Thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

We can’t wait to welcome back our returning families, along with all of our new children and families, on 3rd September for another exciting year of learning and fun! 💙

It has been lovely to see all of our children and families back today! We hope you all had a wonderful Easter break.

As we are starting to see some much-welcomed warmer weather, please could we ask for your help with a few "sunny day" essentials.

Sun Cream: Please ensure sun cream has been applied before your child's session.

Top-ups: Please provide a named bottled of suncream for staff to use for top-ups throughout the day.

Sun Hats: Please ensure your child brings a named sun hat to keep them protected while playing outside.

Water Bottles: Staying hydrated is extra important in the heat, please can we ask that your child has their water bottle with them.

Thank you for your continued support in keeping the children safe and comfortable while they enjoy the sunshine!

🌟 We’re Turning 2! 🌟

We are so proud to be celebrating 2 wonderful years of our nursery being open! 🎉 Over the past year, we have grown so much as a setting, and it has been amazing to see our little community flourish.

As we continue to grow, we’re delighted to welcome 4 new members of staff who will be joining our team very soon! 💛 Two of our new team members are fully Level 3 qualified in SENCO, helping us to continue supporting every child to thrive.

Thank you to all of our families for your continued support — we couldn’t have done it without you! Here’s to many more years of learning, love and growth together. 🌈✨

📚✨ World Book Day Fun! ✨📚

Calling all little readers and story lovers! On 5th March, we’re celebrating World Book Day at nursery!

We’d love for the children to come dressed up as their favorite book character, from princesses and superheroes to animals and magical creatures!

We are so excited to see everyone all dressed up and can’t wait to see what amazing characters they become

At Acorn to Oak Nursery, we are proud to be following the Curiosity Approach, which focuses on creating calm, inviting environments that spark children’s natural curiosity and love of learning.

As part of this, we are always looking for interesting, real-life resources that children can explore through play. If any of our families or members of the local community have items they would be happy to donate, we would be incredibly grateful.

Examples include:

✨ Baskets, pots, pans, wooden items

✨ Natural materials

✨ Scarves, fabrics, or ribbons

✨ Old suitcases or bags

✨ Old vintage phones

✨ Any safe, interesting objects that children could investigate

✨ Hats, handbags, purses

If you have anything you’d like to donate, please speak to a member of staff or send us a message ☺️
