🏆 What an incredible final Sporty Stars Day! Our Key Stage 2 children had an absolute blast diving into bubble football, cheering through fun races, taking on inflatable basketball, and battling it out in Nerf wars and inflatable axe throwing! 🎉 It was the ultimate way for our fantastic Year 6s to bow out of primary school—leading with massive smiles, awesome sportsmanship, and unforgettable memories. We are so proud of every single one of them! 🌟📸

On Wednesday, the Otters celebrated the end of term with an action-packed adventure day at Rock and Rapids. The children tackled a series of challenges, including rock climbing, high ropes and archery. The bouldering wall was a major highlight, with everyone showing fantastic determination on the tough routes—and even Mr Wright joined in to give it a go!

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped with transport and made this fantastic trip possible.

☀️🕺🏽 An incredible, high-energy day in the playground!

Today, all of our children took part in a wonderful Bollywood dance workshop run by K'z Dance Entertainment Ltd. Children of all abilities had so much fun learning a vibrant mix of traditional Indian folk and modern Bollywood-Bhangra routines out in the fresh air!

It was the perfect blend of physical education and cultural awareness—bringing tons of rhythm, fitness, and big smiles to our outdoor space.

A massive thank you to the amazing Kalpesh for leading such an inspiring, uplifting, and memorable day for our school! 🙌🏽✨

The first of our Sporty Stars days is underway! The children are having great fun trying their hand at archery and various parachute games!

This week, Torrington Library visited the school to launch this year's Summer Book Quest!

The challenge encourages children aged 4 to 11 to keep reading over the summer holidays by completing fun reading activities and collecting stickers along the way. Even better, children who complete the quest will receive a special medal for their achievements.

The challenge runs from 11th July to 12th September. Be sure to pop into your local library over the summer to sign up and help keep your child's love of reading growing!

What a magnificent afternoon we had for this year’s Sports Day! Despite the scorching heat, the energy and community spirit were at an all-time high.

The afternoon kicked off with a wonderful performance of "Eye of the Tiger," expertly conducted by Mrs Cannon. The children then gave it their absolute all in the multi-skills events and exciting year-group sprints.

A huge thank you goes to the Friends of Beaford PTFA for organising the refreshment stand, and to everyone who donated delicious cakes. The cold drinks, cakes, and ice poles were highly appreciated by everyone in the sun.

Thank you to all the children, staff, and parents who made this sunny afternoon so memorable.

🏆 Nursery School Starters Sports Day! ☀️🏃‍♂️

We had the most wonderful time on Tuesday afternoon for our nursery school starters' sports day! The weather was absolutely perfect, treating us to a beautiful summer’s day.

Every single one of the children did incredibly well, and it was lovely to see so many families there to cheer them on.

✨ A huge shout-out and thank you to Donna in our kitchen for providing such a delicious spread. Her lovely cupcakes, traditional bara brith and cakes were a massive hit with everyone! 🧁🍰

Today Beaford School held its highly anticipated 'Break the Rules Day'! Organised by the Friends of Beaford PTA, this fun fundraising event allowed the children to playfully bend a few everyday school rules in exchange for a small donation.

It was wonderful to see so much creativity and school spirit on display - from crazy hairstyles and non-uniform outfits to extra-fun breaktime snacks!

A massive thank you to all the children who took part, the parents and carers for their support and the staff for embracing the fun. Thanks to your generous contributions, we have raised vital funds that the PTA will put directly back into supporting school resources and exciting projects for the children. 🌟

Leaving a dreary Devon behind, 11 of our KS2 pupils headed to Taunton Cricket Stadium for a brilliant day out.

With the sun blazing, England Women chose to bat first and set an impressive target of 298/5. A huge highlight for Beaford was getting to go onto the pitch during the break to meet the mascot and collect autographs.

After watching the start of India’s batting, we headed home to find out that England bowled them out to win by 125 runs.

A fantastic, sun-soaked day enjoyed by everyone. Well done, Beaford!
