Year 2 have worked together in groups and as a class to produce an amazing dance using machine movements in PE. They have kept time with the music and used their imaginations brilliantly! Well done!

Our girls competed in the Peterlee Partnership Y5/6 Football Tournament and were fantastic throughout! They played brilliantly, winning one game and drawing two.

The girls scored lots of goals, made some excellent saves and tackles, and most importantly, worked brilliantly together as a team. Their teamwork, determination and enthusiasm was fantastic to see!

Well done, girls! We are so proud of you all. 😀

Yesterday, Reception went on a bear hunt to Wingate woods. They had a fantastic time exploring the area and retelling the story as they searched high and low for bears! 🐻 Unfortunately we didn’t find any bears there but had a great time none the less.

Preschool have had lots of fun exploring the changing weather this week during our Autumn topic. The children have enjoyed splashing in puddles, collecting leaves for printing and using their fine motor skills in our Autumn themed tuff tray 🍂

This week our Preschool children have been busy developing their gross motor skills in PE. We enjoyed exploring the soft play equipment, practising throwing and catching and enjoying a relaxing yoga session. Well done everyone!

⚔️ Year 5 had a fantastic day in York today, stepping back in time to explore life in Viking Britain!

The children visited the JORVIK Viking Centre and DIG, where they became archaeologists for the day and uncovered a range of fascinating artefacts from the Viking era. 🏺🔍

At JORVIK, the children travelled back in time to experience the sights, sounds and smells of Viking York and learned even more about what everyday life would have been like over 1,000 years ago.

We also had the pleasure of taking part in a Viking Saga workshop, where the children were able to show off their brilliant English knowledge as well as their fantastic acting skills! 🎭📖

The children were absolutely brilliant throughout the day and represented Wingate Primary School excellently. We are incredibly proud of them! 🌟
