Lovely friends of my page- chèrs amis -I have renamed it as I’m not taking on new classes anymore. I’m nearly full-time teaching at school & there aren’t enough days in the week to do both. 😊I will still update however with French morsels that take my fancy and hopefully yours. Bisous. 😘🇫🇷

Ain’t that the truth! ❤️+ ADVANCED GRAMMAR = Nice use of the idiom for “no matter how hard...” which is “avoir beau de....(+verb )” eg “J’ai beau essayer, je n’y arrive pas”. No matter how hard I try, I just can’t do it. ⧫ However hard I try, I just can’t do it.😬

🐢pondre = to lay 😊💚 = Behaves like other regular ‘-re’ verbs with present tense endings onto the ‘stem’ ‘pond’:- -s/-s/-/ -ons/-ez/-ent. Other -re verbs= répondre- to reply “Je réponds/tu réponds/il/elle/on répond... etc 👍✏️confondre - to confuse 🤔✏️correspondre- to correspond(😊)✏️tondre- to shear 🐑

Un tortue marine de l'espèce Caretta Caretta, ou tortue caouanne, est venue pondre ses œufs au beau milieu de la plage des Sablettes, la grande plage publique au coeur de Fréjus...

Available now on NETFLIX🥰 90+ minutes. Truly beautiful filmmaking which is humanist to the core. It has “nothing-like-as-fast-as-in-your-standard-French film talking” 🇫🇷between 88yr old New Wave filmmaker extraordinaire, Agnès Varda, (who has sadly, since died) and muralist artist/photographer JR.
They travel across France plastering giant photo portraits of the French people they encounter, who discuss their stories. 🥰 Subtitles of course available.
