Welcome back! We hope everyone had a lovely summer ☀️

Today marked the start of a brand new academic year at St George’s, and it was wonderful to open our doors and welcome both new and returning students for the first day of term.

The school came back to life following the summer break, with excitement and smiles filling the corridors. With so much to look forward to this year, we are excited to see our students learn, discover new opportunities, and enjoy all that school life at St George’s has to offer.

As part of their MindUP Community Outreach Project, Reception learned all about the incredible work of Thames Valley Air Ambulance in the final weeks of term. Inspired by this vital emergency service, they decided to give back by taking on a sponsored walk in the King’s Garden.

In the final week of term, our amazing Reception children completed 3 laps around the triangle, raising an incredible £667.50 for this fantastic cause! 🎉

It was an incredibly special end to the 2025-2026 academic year at St George’s this morning, as we welcomed our students, staff and parents to our Prizegiving and Leavers’ Blessing at St George’s Chapel. It was a chance to reflect on the past year and celebrate all that we have achieved together.

It was also an opportunity for goodbyes and our very best wishes go to those, both staff and students, for whom this marks the end of their St George’s journey. We will really miss you so please do keep in touch.

For those returning in September, as well as all those newly joining, we can’t wait to see you for another incredible year at St George’s! 💙

Tomorrow marks our Year 8 students’ final day at St George’s, and what an incredible journey it has been! Along the way, they have built friendships, created lasting memories, and discovered passions that will stay with them for years to come.

A few weeks ago, they took part in a special photoshoot with Eton Photography, showcasing their many varied talents, interests, and passions they have nurtured during their time at St George’s. And they were very excited to be presented with the final shots at their Leavers’ Dinner tonight!

We are so proud of everything they have achieved and wish each and every one of them the very best of luck as they begin their next chapter at their new schools. We can’t wait to see all they accomplish and look forward to hearing about their exciting adventures ahead 💙

Our Years 6–8 Sports Day was filled with incredible teamwork, determination and House spirit! Despite the heat, every student gave their all across the track and field events, making for a fantastic afternoon of competition and celebration.

A special congratulations to our record-breakers:
🏅 Bertie (Year 8), who set a new school record in the 800m
🏅 Aidan (Year 6), who broke the school record in the shot put

And a huge combined congratulations to Garter House, who were crowned our overall Sports Day champions! 🏆

Congratulations to all the students who took part and thank you to our amazing staff and families for making the day such a memorable one. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 💙

🫖🍰 On Sunday 5 July we welcomed over 90 alumni, former staff and friends back to the school. We had alumni across 8 decades spanning from 1957 to 2024. Our catering team created a wonderful afternoon tea and our Chamber Choir performed for our guests. The Rt Revd Dr Christopher Cocksworth, Dean of Windsor and our Chair of Governors joined us for the afternoon and welcomed all our guests.

It was lovely to see members of our alumni reconnect, reminisce on their time at St George’s, as well as speak to our current students about St George’s life today!

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of the students leaving us this summer, a number of whom have been awarded scholarships to their destination schools across a wide range of disciplines.

An impressive 38% of our Year 8 cohort have secured scholarships at leading schools across the country, a remarkable achievement that reflects their talent, determination and hard work during their time here at St George’s.

We are also thrilled that three of our Year 6 leavers have been awarded scholarships for their prestigious onward destinations.

Congratulations to all of our scholarship recipients - we are very proud of each and every one of you and look forward to hearing about all that you go on to achieve in the future! These accomplishments also speak to the commitment and care of our staff and wider school community. Thank you to everyone who has supported our students on their St George’s journey and helped them flourish.

🏆Depending on temperatures, we’re very hopeful that our postponed Sports Day will go ahead this Wednesday afternoon! In the meantime, it’s the perfect opportunity to look back and celebrate the four fantastic Sports Day events that have already taken place!

From Kindergarten to Year 5, our students have approached their Sports Days with enthusiasm, determination and excitement. It has been wonderful to see them embody the St George’s sporting values of excellence, honesty, teamwork and, most importantly, enjoyment throughout their track and field events 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

🎖️ A huge well done to every student who has taken part, and thank you to all the families who came along to cheer them on (and take part in the parent races!). And a special thank you to our dedicated Sports Department for making these events possible (especially working around a heatwave ☀️)
