🌿 The Story Behind Willow & Light Learning
I never thought I would go into teaching, I never thought I had the patience to work in the school setting but as it turns out I have lots of patience and fell in love with helping students reach their full potential. While teaching, I realised I wanted learning to feel different — calmer, more personal, more relatable and fuelled by curiosity.
My background is in Engineering, and I later became a qualified Science teacher (QTS). I’ve always loved understanding how things work, but even more, I’ve loved helping others see that same spark of understanding.
My time as a teacher and as a parent has made me realised that learning it should be about discovery, connection, and confidence. That’s what inspired Willow & Light Learning.
🌿 The willow represents growth, flexibility, and resilience — how every learner bends, not breaks, as they grow.
💡 The light symbolises curiosity — those bright little moments when something suddenly “clicks.”
Together, they remind me why I do what I do: to nurture curiosity, from toddlers making their first discoveries, to teens mastering complex science concepts.
