Congratulations to the six Eton musicians who performed at the BBC Proms this summer.

Taking to the stage as part of the National Youth Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall, our boys were part of an extraordinary concert that featured the Proms premiere of Purgatorio by Thomas Adès and the Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz.

Earlier this summer, Rick Astley came along to our Commercial Music Society for a wonderful finale to this year’s Societies Programme 🎶

He spoke so candidly about the music industry, his rise to fame and the first time he fell victim to the Rick Roll.

Our boys were thrilled when Rick transformed the talk into a mini concert, performing Fly Me to the Moon and Never Gonna Give You Up, with Sebastian B (Year 13) accompanying him on the piano.

The courage, dignity and grace of Michael and Sabine, Raphaël’s parents, shines through once again as they share their story in The Times and launch a campaign for more paediatric pathologists. Their determination to drive for positive change following such unimaginable loss is inspiring. Eton is proud to stand beside them in remembering Raphaël and in supporting this important campaign.

60 students from state schools across the country joined us on our free five-day Skills for Success programme 🤝

During the week, the Year 10 pupils experienced boarding and developed their communication and leadership skills, teamwork, and creative problem-solving in team challenges and excursions.

Among those joining us were students from the Black Country and Oldham, which was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the connection of the Eton Star Dudley and Oldham sixth form projects.

Congratulations to Hugo and Martin in E Block (Year 10) for making it to the Thomas Bowl U15 Final at the ISTA Tennis Championships 🎾

The boys' run to the final included victory over two tennis powerhouses, in Reeds and the top seed Ewell Castle. Well done to Repton on a well fought victory in the final.
