Reading 📖 has a huge impact on children’s writing, the deeper their understanding of a text, the more likely they are to use this within their own writing ✍🏽

Key reading skills include:
1. Understanding unfamiliar words.
2. Retrieving information from the text.
3. Summarising key points/events.
4. Inferring, finding a deeper meaning.
