The Early Years children had a fantastic time turning their snack-time tomatoes into delicious homemade tomato soup. They practised their claw and bridge cutting skills to safely slice carrots, onions, and tomatoes, and loved watching the ingredients blend together after cooking. So many children enjoyed an afternoon snack of warm soup and bread — a wonderful mix of learning, teamwork, and tasty rewards.

A group of our year 5 & 6 children represented the school at the annual Wi******er schools Swimming Gala yesterday. They gave 100% and really worked together, discussing race order and supporting each other. 🏊🏻
Although the boys didn't manage to get through to the finals, they came 5th overall in the invitational race, out of 16 schools.
The girls team went through to both the freestyle finals and the mixed stroke finals. In both finals races, they achieved 5th place, out of 24 schools. What a fantastic achievement!
Well done to Rosie, Ruby, Ruthie, Alice, Milo, Kit, Ben and Amos. We're very proud of you all!

Our assembly today has been all about staying safe in the water. We encouraged the children to think about four key rules when enjoying time in the water, as advised by the RNLI: stop & think, stay together, float and finally call for help (four images attached). The second image is aimed at adults rather than children and is for further information and guidance.
