Our early years children have been looking at the book ‘From head to toe’ by Eric Carle. They have been retelling the story, creating their own pages to add to the book and presenting puppet shows to their friends. They have been using Chatterpix to retell their favourite page from the book. 📕

This week year 2 children have begun learning their new poem, 'The Star' by Jane Taylor, off by heart. They listened to it for the first time in the hall, complete with starry lights, atmospheric space music and visuals so they could let their imaginations soar!
They then drew the wonderful pictures that appeared in their minds, capturing their own interpretations of the poem. A truly magical way to begin their poetry journey! ⭐️💫✨🌟

⚽ Year 6 Boys Start League Campaign with a Win! ⚽
Weeke Primary's Y6 boys got their league season off to a fantastic start with a hard-fought victory against Olivers Battery.
In a closely contested first half, Weeke edged ahead thanks to two excellent goals from Tyren and Theo L. Both teams continued to play some impressive football after the break, creating plenty of chances and producing an entertaining match for all involved.
A second goal from Tyren, completing his brace, and a brilliant strike from Leo T helped seal a well-deserved 4-2 win for Weeke.
Well done to the entire team for a superb first performance of the season. The boys showed great teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout. 👏⚽💙💛
