🌿 The Topconkers demonstrated excellent listening skills as they followed safety instructions for using hammers during today's activity. They explored a variety of materials using their senses and showed curiosity as they investigated their textures and properties.

The children took turns confidently, selecting green leaves and carefully placing them inside folded material. Using controlled movements, they gently tapped with the hammers to transfer the natural colour from the leaves. The children were fascinated as the vibrant green prints emerged, showing great enthusiasm, patience, and perseverance throughout the experience. 🌿

National Baby-Led Weaning Day 💛

Baby-led weaning gives children the opportunity to explore food independently, helping to build confidence, support fine motor development and encourage a positive relationship with food from the very start.

We know that every family's weaning journey is different. That's why we take time during the settling-in process to understand each family's preferences and chosen approach. Whether parents opt for baby-led weaning, purées or a combination of both, it's always led by parental choice, with our nursery teams there to provide support every step of the way.

Through close partnerships with families, we create positive mealtime experiences where children can safely explore a variety of tastes and textures at their own pace. As they do, they're developing independence, self-confidence and important skills that support their wider learning and development.

Choosing the right nursery is a big decision, and feeling confident in your child’s safety matters every step of the way.

Every day, we focus on creating calm, nurturing spaces where children feel safe, supported, and ready to explore their world 💛
