In Hampshire, the Supported Internship Programme plays a vital role in helping young people with additional needs move into meaningful, sustainable work.
The programme offers real‑world work experience, employability training, pastoral support and dedicated Skills Coaches to help each young person build confidence and independence.
Designed for 16 to 24‑year‑olds with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), Supported Internships give young people the chance to:
Gain hands‑on experience in a real workplace
Develop key employability, English, maths, and digital skills
Build confidence through structured support
Work towards greater independence and future employment opportunities
