Last week, Year 2 students headed to SeaCity in Southampton to learn about a key chapter of the city’s history: the Titanic.

Students became marine engineers, creating their own passenger liners from clay and pipe cleaners.

🚀 3, 2, 1… blast off!

A lovely look back to the summer term, when our current Year 3 girls were still in Year 2 and the Artemis space launch provided a little inspiration for their dance lessons.

There were rockets launching, journeys through the Earth’s atmosphere, weightless floating through space and, very excitingly, the discovery of a brand new planet! 🌍✨

We love the way learning at St Swithun’s Prep can begin with something happening in the wider world and lead somewhere completely unexpected. Here, a space launch became a chance to move, imagine, wonder and have a lot of fun along the way.

A lovely example of where curious minds can take you. 🚀

And just like that, it’s beginning to feel like home ✨

44 families joined us for our first Founding Families morning at St Swithun’s Nursery & Preschool, exploring the new spaces, meeting the team, making new friends and getting stuck into some very important playing.

It was rather lovely to see a place we’ve spent so long imagining suddenly full of little people, big people, chatter, curiosity and life.

Yesterday, we introduced families to our brand new nursery ✨

We were delighted to welcome toddlers, newborns, parents, and grandparents and are excited to begin filling these beautiful spaces with tiny humans.

Last term, music filled the Prep School library as 17 pupils performed in front of parents, teachers, and friends✨.
Voices, piano, flute, and saxophone came together in an intimate concert that celebrated commitment, progress, and a shared love of music🎤.
