Meet Anwen đž
The therapy pups have recruited a new furry friend. Anwen will be a regular at the Prep School to support studentsâ wellbeing and has already made a paw-sitive first impression.
When not in school, Anwen will stay with Year 6 teacher, Mrs Webb. We cannot wait to share more pup-dates with you over the coming weeks.

Our Prep students have been building bird boxes this week in the hopes of attracting some feathered friends.đŚââŹ
As part of the Thomas Franks Biodiversity Challenge 2025/26, students have been thinking about the small changes they can make to the environment here at St Swithunâs which can attract a range of wildlife to the school grounds. đŚ
The girls were given bespoke flat pack kits, created by Richard in our maintenance team. They then used the senior school DT resources, supervised by Mrs Trebess, to turn these into beautiful homes for our local birdlife.â¨
Next step: mounting them on the trees!đ˛

As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence and to meeting the evolving needs of our community, we are delighted to share the news that St Swithunâs Prep School is planning to introduce a new on-site nursery, supporting children from their very first steps on their educational journey and extending our early years provision for families with young children.
St Swithunâs Nursery and Preschool will offer highâquality, coâeducational provision for children from nine months to four years, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment during the most formative early years of life. By placing emotional wellbeing, encouragement and exploration at the heart of our approach, we aim to give every child the confidence to begin, to try and to grow.
The nursery will sit alongside our existing preschool, which will also move to 50 week, allâyearâround provision, whilst retaining the flexibility to be term-time only for those who wish.
We look forward to sharing further updates as this exciting project progresses and to welcoming families into the next chapter of St Swithunâs early years provision.
