Do you think clothes and make up are rather superficial concerns? Something that intelligent or spiritual don’t need to concern themselves with? If that rings true please know that what you choose to dress yourself in is one of the most profound things you do each day. You never buy anything by accident. You never put it on by accident. When you leave the house each day your clothes tell us more than you could possibly imagine about yourself. And not in a way you’d guess. Even people who have done lots of inner work are wearing clothes that are appropriate for the child they thought they had to be.
Our clothes tell the world about our shame, our self loathing, our need to be invisible. Or they can be a tool for our own healing.
