We believe in a world where young women see possibilities, not barriers. We believe that education is not just about learning lessons, but learning who we are without fear of failure or outdated attitudes about what young women can aspire to.

If this resonates with you, St Swithun’s could be the place for your daughter. Join us on Saturday 20 June to learn more about our excellent all-round education and discover what makes us a leading independent school.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome members of the school council, Bramston Foundation trustees and valued supporters to mark a significant milestone: the
‘topping out’ of our new indoor courts✨.

The occasion was marked by Ms Gandee unveiling a Bramston Foundation and St Swithun’s marker on the spectator gallery wall, a lasting symbol of this important moment⭐️.

We celebrated the completion of the structure through a series of speeches and looked ahead to the impact this facility will have on sport, partnerships and the wider community in Wi******er💫.

The building is on track for completion and we look forward to unveiling the finish result next academic year📚.

Fundraising Thursday is a school tradition that we all look forward to every year. The girls all make a huge effort on each of their stalls; from baking and cooking to wonderful enterprising ideas. A highlight is the ‘Sponge the Teacher’, which is a very popular activity and the Head Girl Team also get involved. Fundraising Thursday raised a grand total of £3374.36 for the school charities – well done to all involved.

Last term, the students took part in the House Sport competition, with teams competing in netball and lacrosse across the school grounds🏅.
While players represented their Houses on court, other students gathered to support from the sidelines, cheering on teammates and celebrating each match. The event brought the whole school community together through sport, participation and House spirit✨.

Working alongside members of , last term saw the inaugural Community Feeding Project which aims to tackle food poverty with dignity, compassion and sustained action. Students and staff worked alongside to save perishable ingredients to minimise food waste while supporting those in need. The students boxed 892 meals ready for distribution to local families and charities including and St Paul’s church.

Through taking part in community projects like this, students gain valuable insight into local challenges while contributing meaningfully to efforts that improve the lives of others. This successful project also strengthened St Swithun’s collaboration with The Thomas Franks Foundation and we are looking forward to many more opportunities to work together on such valuable projects in the future.
