Our focus is to help prepare you for university or employment. You are encouraged to be independent, whether it's planning your time for studying....or cooking or doing your laundry! Our wonderful house parents offer support to help develop every boarders life skills🫶

Making memories (that last much longer than sixth form!) can be as simple as having your friends just down the corridor - and it instantly feels like somewhere more than just a place to stay 🫶

CLASS OF 2026! ✨🎓

Congratulations and well done to all of our students who received their results today!

Our students have once again achieved excellent results for A Level and vocational qualifications. The pass rate for A Level stands at 99 per cent with 33 per cent of the grades awarded at A* or A. The proportion of the very highest grades (A*, A, B) is an impressive 63 per cent. The pass rate for vocational courses is an incredible 99 per cent with 66 per cent of grades awarded at Distinction and Distinction* level.

Principal, Sara Russell OBE, said ''It is an absolute privilege to celebrate this incredible success today. Each set of results represents hard work, determination and resilience Our students are rightly proud of their achievements, and it is wonderful to see so many happy faces.

Our students leave us with excellent results. They also take with them the confidence, skills and character they have developed at Symonds. We shall follow their next steps with interest and pride.

I would also like to congratulate and thank our staff, whose dedication and commitment have played such an important part in enabling our students to thrive. Today is a celebration of the whole college community.''

Time to say 'Hi!' to the second of our TWO boarding houses - School House..👋!

The original of two, School House was built in 1908(!) and still stands proudly right in the heart of the campus. There's single, double and triple rooms available and it's also home to our large common room with TV, gaming facilities and the pool table. There's of course a kitchen, a laundry room and a dedicated work room too, equipped with computers and WIFI!
