Turn It Up! Winnall Rock School Summer Show 2026 Join us on World Rock Day as Winnall Rock School 'Turn It Up' to celebrate 22 years of making original hooks, riffs, future hits and electrifying covers and the joy of making music together. This show is kindly supported by Play to the Crowd and Thinking Web.

We need to slim this down so if anyone is looking for some pre-loved gear - get in touch.

We've had a busy, fun day at The Arc, Wi******er running 4 workshops for younger children and parents - Uke'n'Paint, Let's Write A Song, Silence Decorating and Uke'n'Jam - all great fun and getting our message out there that music is for everyone.
We'll be back in 4 weeks for Sound Wi******er '26. See you there.

Phew! What a scorcher! What a setting!

Congratulations to all our students for their Helios inspired music and soundscapes on Tuesday evening at Wi******er Cathedral. The building, the Helios exhibit and all the visitors conjured an inspiring and profound sense of warmth and vibrancy, despite the cold.

Our thanks go to everyone at the Cathedral, our tutors and supporters for the magic. This was our first visit to this world-class venue on our doorstep and hopefully not our last.

Reaching up to the sun for tonight's adventure in Wi******er Cathedral.

We are so(lar) excited at the prospect of performing our own communion with the sun as part of the https://www.wi******er-cathedral.org.uk/event/the-sun/ late night opening event, next Tuesday evening (3rd February). Each of our groups has prepared an original song / soundscape inspired by the sun to be performed under the magnificent ‘Helios’ sculpture between 7-9pm. We look forward to seeing you there too.
The photos are from our practice session this week as we experienced the building’s ability to act as a great big natural amplifier.

Huge congratulations to all our students for their achievements on Saturday at the University of Wi******er. They did themselves proud with a brilliant showcase of well crafted, adventurous, inspiring songs - the result of brilliant work this term by everyone.
Likewise, we were so impressed with how they handled themselves in the studios. We look forward to hearing the recordings - for which thanks are also owed to the UoW's Music Production students for enabling us to challenge and enjoy ourselves. It is sooooo appreciated.

Friday night is music night! Our weekend at the University of Wi******er has started with a Friday night session in the recording studio. Thanks so much to the Music Production students for making this happen.
