Western Primary School PTA

02/10/2026

Happy Friday 🎉

Another school week done, and we just want to remind you about our library collection which is still currently ongoing!

Our school library is at the heart of learning, imagination, and discovery. It’s where children develop a love of reading, explore new ideas, and build skills that will stay with them for life.

Mr Burbridge has asked the PTA to help keep Western's library inspiring and up to date, so we are inviting families to help us add new books to our shelves, either by paying for a specific book that is on the school's wish list or by donating a sum of money.

Our librarian, Mrs Weston-Smith, has collated a list of books for each year group, a mixture of fiction and non-fiction.

Every contribution (big or small) will go directly towards purchasing new books that support the curriculum and encourage a lifelong love of reading and learning.

You can help support our Library fundraiser by buying a book for school (or donating) here:

P.S thanks so much to the kind parents/carers and anyone else who have already brought or donated money for our library 📚

On 14th October 7pm we have our annual AGM meeting.

It’s a chance to find out our plans for the year ahead, share your ideas and meet other parents!

We would love to see you there, even if you haven’t previously been involved with the PTA 💙

👋🏼 Hello to a new school year! 👋🏼

And a big welcome to all our new Year R parents! 🎒✨

We thought we’d take the opportunity to reintroduce ourselves and remind you why we’re here! 💙

We are Western’s PTA Committee, made up of mums and dads who all have children at Western.

Our main aim is to raise money for our school, which goes directly back to support our children, so everyone’s a winner! 🎉🙌🏼

We’re always looking for new parents to get involved and help out. Whether you can spare lots of time or just lend a hand when you can, every bit makes a difference and we promise we’re a friendly bunch! 🥰

If you’d like to join us, get involved or just find out a little more, please feel free to send us a message or email us at [email protected] 📧

P.S. Watch this space… we’ve got some exciting things coming up this term! 👀🎉
