We are pleased to share the findings of our most recent inspection report, which reflects the exceptional standard of education at Wi******er College.

Inspectors commended our intellectual and cultural life, pastoral care, and co-curricular provision, and recognised Div, our distinctive approach to cross-disciplinary discussion, as a 'significant strength'.

At a time of cultural change and geopolitical uncertainty, we are convinced that Wi******er's vision of education is more human, more interesting and more relevant than ever.

As part of our Original Thinking Series on The Future of Assessment in the Age of AI, we recently welcomed a group of prep school heads and academic leaders for an engaging and thought-provoking discussion.

We were delighted to hear from Daisy Christodoulou (Director of Education at No More Marking) and Kate Bailey (Director of Digital Testing at Cambridge University Press & Assessment), who shared valuable insights into how assessment is evolving in response to technological change.

As we continue our commitment to maintaining a rigorous and fair assessment process, this event marks the beginning of a broader conversation. Together, we are exploring how best to evaluate and support prospective pupils in the years ahead, ensuring our approaches remain both robust and forward-thinking in an AI-driven world.

Last Thursday, with the sun shining, the whole College community gathered to welcome the Right Reverend Philip Mounstephen, Lord Bishop of Wi******er 'Ad Portas' (at the gates), in one of the school's longest-standing traditions.

Dating back to the late 14th century, Ad Portas is the highest honour the school can bestow on a distinguished guest. The whole school gathered in Chamber Court, the medieval heart of the College, as the Chapel bells rang out to mark the Bishop's arrival.

Our senior prefect then welcomed the Bishop with a speech, to which the Bishop replied. The ceremony concluded with a choral evensong in Chapel.

A memorable occasion that brought the whole school community together.
