Year 3 had an exciting afternoon learning about UV light from the sun. They made bracelets out of UV reactive beads and then tested which materials would be good for a sun hat because they block UV light. โ๏ธโ๏ธ
We believe an imaginative, well-planned curriculum enables children to Imagine, Create and Achieve. Our pupils are sociable, articulate and creative.
Western Church of England Primary is a very popular school, situated less than a mile to the west of Winchester city centre and is set in very attractive, extensive grounds. Our pupils are sociable, articulate and creative; they respond well to responsibility and challenge. They are eager to learn, resourceful and enthusiastic. We want them to be inspired by the learning opportunities on offer so they can become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.

Last half term Year 1 visited St Paulโs church. They have been learning about special places and Mary, Rhiannon and Vicky told them about the special parts of the church. The children enjoyed singing some of their favourite songs while Vicky played the organ! Thank you stpaulstmatthew for a lovely morning.

Year 4 used their team working skills to plan and build habitats and dens in Hazel Hill woods. They worked together, using natural materials, to construct their plans. It was great to see them using their school values when challenging themselves during construction. Well done Year 4!
