Another fun-filled Twyford Summer Camp wrapped up last week, and what a fantastic time we had! ☀️

The children enjoyed trips to Marwell Zoo and Moors Valley, built new skills in Forest School, and embraced adventurous play on the chalk mounds. They also got stuck into cookery, arts and crafts, and plenty of fun in the sprinklers.

Our Prep pupils loved their specialised timetable, including Mr Handstock's Musicals Workshop, Mr Smith's Sports Day and Forest School sessions, Mr Ford's Video Game Bonanza, and Mr Holyoake's 'Band for a Day'.

Alongside our daily ice pops, the children had a wonderful time playing, exploring, and making memories with friends across the year groups.

We can't wait to do it all again at Christmas! 🎄

# TwyWeekly

What a week we have had! Where to start?!

Last weekend began in spectacular fashion with our annual Twyford's Got Talent competition, followed by the much-loved Twyford Extravaganza, a fantastic summer event organised by our wonderful TPA. Both events showcased the community spirit that make Twyford so special.

The week kicked off with our whole school photograph and Moving Up Day, giving pupils the opportunity to meet their new teachers and look ahead to the year to come. We also welcomed families to our Art & DTE Exhibition, where the creativity, imagination and craftsmanship of our Year 7 and 8 pupils were proudly showcased, celebrating all they have achieved throughout the year.

In Pre-Prep, Year 2 enjoyed a wonderful trip to Avon Beach, learning about sustainability through a beach clean before enjoying Beach School activities and fish and chips by the sea. They also joined pupils from Twyford St Mary's School for the annual Recorder Festival. Meanwhile, Year 1 enjoyed a special beach-themed day at school, bringing all the fun of the seaside to Twyford.

Sports Days across the School demonstrated fantastic inter-house sportsmanship, with our Pre-Prep pupils getting into the sporting spirit with a lively Walking on Sunshine warm-up.

On Wednesday, our Year 8 pupils took part in the annual netball and cricket Parents' Matches, a cherished leavers' tradition, before families came together for a BBQ.
We were also delighted to welcome both current and new families to our Pre-Prep Drinks Party, while the Music Gala showcased the remarkable breadth of musical talent at Twyford, from soloists and choirs to ensembles.

To top it all off, the week concluded with our Carnival-themed Summer Ball, spectacularly organised by the TPA. Filled with colour, creativity, fantastic costumes and plenty of dancing, it was a night to remember!

We now head into our final few days before the summer holidays, with plenty still to look forward to, including the Year 8 Leavers' Dinner and Performance on Monday, as well as our Prep and Pre-Prep Celebration Services as we come together to mark the end of another memorable year at Twyford.
