It was such a lovely occasion celebrating with our Year 8s as they opened their Common Entrance results alongside staff. There was music, delicious nibbles and sparkling juice to mark the moment.

A huge congratulations to them all on their achievements - we are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and excited for what lies ahead as they begin their journeys beyond Twyford.

But before then, they are enjoying their Year 8 residential trip in Italy - a much‑deserved trip after all their hard work!

🌟 It was a wonderful way to head into the weekend - celebrating one of Twyford’s most loved traditions, as pupils and parents came together with Old Twyfordian Hampshire cricketers - past and present - for Court Cricket, sunshine and a BBQ.

It was fantastic to see generations united by this 200‑year‑old game on Court. The children (and definitely the parents!) certainly rose to the occasion - determined to claim a wicket off a professional or send one flying for six - and didn’t hold back!

A huge thank you to Jimmy Adams, Chris Wood, Joe Weatherley, Felix Organ and Dom Kelly for being great sports and so generous with their time during a busy cricket season.

# TwyWeekly

A wonderfully busy and inspiring week at Twyford 🌟

Pupils took part in an immersive Multi-Faith Workshop Day, exploring the traditions of Hinduism, Sikhism and Buddhism through culture, history, clothing and celebration. It was also lovely to welcome parents to our lunchtime strings and piano concerts this week.

Common Entrance exams were sat this week and finished yesterday with a great cheer! Those Year 8s not sitting CE have spent the week in Pre-Prep supporting in classrooms, sport and daily school life, while also helping with rehearsals for Monday’s whole school House Song Competition. The Leaver’s Programme began in earnest today as they started work on their end of term production.

It’s also been a big week for sport, with cricket fixtures v Farleigh, the Farleigh Athletics event today, and the Wi******er Primary Schools Swimming Gala.

Year 2 enjoyed their latest Prep Transition Day, including a scavenger hunt around the school to help them get to know their future surroundings ahead of Year 3.

Tonight, the boarding house is looking forward to their Beach Theme Night - fingers crossed for the weather!

And tomorrow we’re excited to welcome Rachel Arthur (UN Sustainable Fashion Lead & Twyford parent) as our Saturday Speaker: Threads of Tomorrow: Shaping a Sustainable Future.

🌍 What an incredible day of discovery! This past week our pupils stepped into an immersive journey through the rich traditions of Hinduism, Sikhism, and Buddhism for our Multi-Faith Workshop Day.

From exploring vibrant traditional clothing and intricate make-up patterns to diving deep into history and joyous celebrations, the children were fully engaged and inspired.

At Twyford, we believe it is deeply important to educate and expose our children to every walk of life, fostering understanding, respect, and curiosity for the diverse world around them. We believe in creating global citizens in every aspect of the curriculum.

🎉 Warmest congratulations to our longest‑standing Old Twyfordian, Anthony Eyton, on celebrating his 103rd birthday yesterday! What an extraordinary milestone for an extraordinary artist.

We were honoured to welcome Anthony back in 2023 to open our Summer Art & DTE Exhibition, a wonderful moment to celebrate his exceptionally colourful, curious and influential life in the world of art. His creativity continues to inspire generations of Twyfordians.
