Gordon is by Dever Custard, who certainly had a busy year also producing a set of triplets like her mother! He’s already off to a great start, winning his ram lamb class at his very first show of the season. 🥇

Unlike his half-sister Gloria, who likes to keep us on our toes with her sweet but spicy personality, Gordon is the definition of cool, calm and collected.

A laid-back lad with plenty of style… and hopefully he’s only just getting started. 🤎🐑

Dever Gloria - Sweet but Spicy 🌶️

Gloria is the final ewe lamb from the queen herself, Teme Zola 👸🏼 – the ewe who kick-started my showing journey. ❤️

After deciding that producing three enormous triplets this year was enough to earn a well-deserved retirement, Zola has joined the group of retired ewes happy grazing the river meadows.

And it clearly runs in the family, as Zola’s daughter Custard also had triplets this year — one of which is a Dever Gordon Ram-say who I’ll be introducing very soon. 🐑🐑

Thankfully, Zola has gone out with a bang by leaving me with Gloria, who has already been making her mum proud by taking Reserve Champion at a county show. 🏆

I was also delighted to achieve 4th place in the Interbreed Pairs with our ram lamb and ewe lamb.

To top it all off, we were incredibly proud to be pulled forward into the final six for the Overall Supreme Champion of the Show across all breeds, as well as being pulled forward in the Interbreed Group of Three. What an honour!

A huge thank you to our Coloured Ryeland judge, Jonathan Webb, for travelling such a long way to judge the South East Group. We really appreciate your time and expertise. ❤️

Smart ewe lamb by Dever Eliza Doolittle 🤍

My competition ewe from last year — and she’s grown a sassy little mini me queen 👑

Sadly, Eliza lost her other ewe lamb a few weeks ago to pulpy kidney. Even with vaccination, these things can happen so suddenly and it’s never easy 💔

It always seem the to be the strong, beautiful lambs, and I’m so grateful to still have this one. Fingers crossed we’ll be taking this girl out into the show ring later this year along with her mum Eliza ✨❤️
