Reception had a great visit to Marwell Zoo to bring their learning to life. It was a fun filled day learning facts about different animals and learning about the different habitats following on from our learning during 'No Place Like Home'. ๐

Science Day at Barton Farm๐ฉโ๐ฌ
Our young scientists explored 5 exciting activities including electricity โก, reactions ๐งช, protecting an egg from breaking ๐ฅ, bubbles ๐ซง and exploring different states of matter.
Everyone was inquisitive and took part with great enthusiasm! There were lots of questions and plenty of laughter along the way. We loved seeing so many children thinking like real scientists โ curious and eager to explore the world around them.
So many inspiring scientists in the making! ๐ฉโ๐ฌ๐จโ๐ฌ

๐ Osmington Bay 2026 ๐
Year 4 had the best time at Osmington Bay in Weymouth. 2 nights away on residential and it was amazing to see the children increase in independence, trying new things and we all had so much fun!
Fencing, giant zip line, raft building, climbing, problem solving, archery, camp fires... a busy 3 days crammed with fun! Thanks for the memories Year 4! ๐๐๐ซถ๐ผ

Year 1 have been learning all about animals as part of their 'Going Wild' theme. Meet Chicky, Gig, Echo, Mr Read and Raymond (following a name vote!) who have hatched and are living in Year 1. They have been so excited to see this process as part of their Science learning linking to their theme. There are lots of duck diaries, life cycle learning, duck stories and instructions on how to look after ducks. ๐ฅ๐ฃ

Reception have been emerging themselves in the magic of life cycles ๐ธ
We have been inquisitive and curious as we watched the tadpoles develop and we now have excited voices ringing out every day "this one has legs, it's a froglet now!" We have been reading lots of stories to support our learning and documenting the process along the way.

Barton Farm Eco Team took action today ๐๐
Armed with litter pickers, bags, and plenty of determination, we headed out around the local estate and park to tackle litter and make a difference.
Every piece picked up is a step towards a cleaner, safer environment for everyone.
Proud of this amazing group for showing that small actions really do add up! ๐ฑโจ
