What an incredible morning at our Pre‑Prep Performing Arts Showcase! 🌍✨
The theme, A Big World Adventure, took families on a joyful journey across all seven continents, with each year group sharing a vibrant cultural performance through music, dance, ballet, drama and poetry.
The children shone with confidence, creativity and enthusiasm — singing, dancing and performing their hearts out. A huge thank you to our amazing Pre‑Prep staff for their dedication and imagination throughout the week, and special thanks to Miss Hodson for her wonderful direction and to Miss Williams for coordinating the music.
What a fantastic celebration of the arts.

We’ll be back in the woods very soon, and these are the only remaining sessions for this term:

📅 2 July
We can’t wait to welcome you back for more muddy adventures, outdoor play and woodland magic next week.

Before half term, Prince’s Mead made a brilliant showing at the IAPS National Sailing Regatta — and for the first time since before COVID, we fielded two boats.
⛵ Molly and Ted (Year 4) were among the youngest competitors and tackled the course with real determination, gaining invaluable race experience for future seasons.
⛵ Ed and Mary (Year 6) delivered an exceptional performance, finishing 8th nationally, even in gusts reaching 27 knots.
A superb effort from all our sailors and a proud moment for the school.

Today on Global Day of Parents, we celebrate the wonderful parents and carers who bring so much warmth, energy, and generosity to the Prince’s Mead community. From organising the brilliant PMA Colour Run to cheering on the sidelines at Sports Day, your involvement enriches every part of school life. Thank you for all you do, we are so grateful for your support and partnership.

Our lunchtime and after‑school Crochet Clubs have been stitching up a storm this term so far!🧶
Students from Years 3–6 have been learning new techniques, experimenting with patterns, and taking on some seriously impressive projects. From geese and elephants to cosy blankets, clothing, toys and thoughtful gifts, their creativity has been incredible.
It’s been wonderful watching their confidence grow as they bring their ideas to life with just yarn, a hook, and a whole lot of imagination.

The children have been full of excitement over the past few weeks as they’ve learned about and spotted our robin chicks. Watching the birds up close has inspired so many activities, from bird spotting and making bird seed cakes to building nests with different materials and even moving around like little chicks.
The robin chicks have grown quickly, and the fledglings have now left the nest. We’re hoping to keep seeing them around our woodland as we head out to play.

🌿 Eco-Schools Success on TV! 🎥💚
Following the fantastic news that we’ve been awarded Eco-Schools Distinction for the third year in a row, we were thrilled to welcome That’s TV last week. Their team spent the day filming two brilliant segments all about our environmental work — including our RHS-accredited garden and the many eco‑friendly projects happening across the school.
A huge thank you to all the pupils and teachers who got involved during the filming. Whether on camera or in the background, you represented the school wonderfully and helped bring our eco story to life.
We’re incredibly proud of everything our community does to care for the environment.
