Learning through play was in full swing this week as Mrs Little transformed the hall into a mini soft play adventure for our Nursery children. The youngsters enjoyed navigating tunnels, balancing across benches, jumping into hoops and safely exploring a range of physical challenges designed to develop coordination, balance and confidence.

It was fantastic to see so much enthusiasm, determination and joy as the children put their movement skills to the test!

Happy European Day of Languages! 🌍

This week, Prince’s Mead has been filled with colour, culture and plenty of new languages as pupils from Nursery to Year 6 celebrated European Day of Languages!

From flag hunts, quizzes and songs to German lessons and the wonderfully interactive Au Pays des Lutins theatre show, pupils had lots of opportunities to discover different languages and cultures.

We even enjoyed a European-inspired lunch, with delicious dishes from Italy, Greece, France and Britain!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our celebrations so much fun.

An exciting new chapter for our Nursery 🌿

This September, our expanded Nursery provision officially opened, alongside some wonderful enhancements to the Coach House.

With newly renovated spaces and a brand-new treehouse in our shared Early Years garden, Nursery and Reception children have been enjoying plenty of opportunities to explore, play and learn together. This shared environment helps create a seamless and familiar transition from Nursery into Reception, as children continue their journey at Prince’s Mead.

A fantastic start to the netball season for our Year 3 and 4 girls!

The girls have begun the term with great enthusiasm, energy and teamwork, embracing every training session with positivity and determination. Alongside developing their netball skills, they have been taking part in fitness circuits to build stamina, strength and flexibility, all whilst encouraging one another and having plenty of fun.

It has been wonderful to see their confidence growing already, and we look forward to watching their skills continue to develop throughout the season.

This weekend marks the start of an exciting new partnership between Prince's Mead and Worthys Youth Football Club.

From this weekend, Worthys FC will begin hosting youth football fixtures on our pitches, bringing young players, families and visiting teams to Prince's Mead each weekend.

Our excellent sporting facilities are a key part of life at Prince's Mead, and we are pleased to be able to open them up to support grassroots sport within our local community. As a club with a strong reputation for developing young footballers, Worthys FC shares our commitment to providing positive sporting experiences for children.

This new partnership is an exciting opportunity to strengthen local connections and inspire even more young people to enjoy being active outdoors.

We look forward to seeing the first matches kick off this Saturday and to building a successful partnership with Worthys FC.

⚽ Football is back!

Yesterday, Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from Prince's Mead School and King Edward VI Preparatory School came together for their first football fixtures of the academic year.

As proud members of The KES Group, these occasions provide a wonderful opportunity for pupils to build friendships across our schools while enjoying healthy competition on the pitch.

The pupils showed excellent teamwork, determination, sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the afternoon, with every match played in great spirit.

A brilliant afternoon and the perfect way to start the season. We can't wait for what's to come!

We’re thrilled that Prince’s Mead has once again been featured in the prestigious Tatler Schools Guide 2027 ✨

This year’s write-up captures so much of what makes our school community thrive, from our stunning grounds to our vibrant Forest School, complete with a new canopy for cozy cook-ups around the firepit🔥

Highlights also celebrated our pupils’ creativity with new 3D printers, thriving football teams, and the generous spirit of our children, who recently raised nearly £9,000 for charity.
What touched us most, however, was feedback from our parents, praising our "warm, approachable staff who help children grow in confidence."

Thank you to our amazing pupils, dedicated team, and supportive families who make Prince’s Mead such an idyllic, joyful place to learn and grow.
